"Yeah."
Walker Grant grunted softly and headed for the elevator. He took it to the second basement level and walked straight to the door of the shooting range. The moment he pushed it open, he was met with the continuous sound of gunfire. BANG! BANG! BANG!
’It’s been an hour since I dropped her off. Has she really been practicing in the shooting range this whole time?’
Walker Grant watched her slender, upright figure. She gripped a pistol with both hands, headphones covering her ears. Her crystal-clear eyes were fixed on the moving target in front of her, her gaze exceptionally focused and sharp. As soon as she locked onto the target’s trajectory, she started firing.
"BANG! BANG! BANG!"
She fired all her rounds, and a few of them even hit the bullseye.
Seeing this, Walker Grant remarked, "You’re improving quickly."
Chloe Reed lowered the pistol, picked up a nearby cup of water, and took a sip before asking, "How’s Noah Grant?"
Walker Grant looked at her, his narrow phoenix eyes exceptionally deep. "He needs to be hospitalized for a few days to monitor his recovery," he said in a low, slow voice. "We can’t be sure yet what kind of long-term effects there might be."
Upon hearing this, Chloe Reed’s long lashes trembled. She tightened her grip on her cup and asked, "What are you going to do about Sunny Reed?"
’Sunny Reed is the culprit. She ruthlessly poisoned Noah Grant just to satisfy her own selfish desires. It would be letting her off way too easy if we did nothing.’
Walker Grant said, "Let’s not rush. We’ll talk about it once Noah’s condition has stabilized."
Chloe Reed nodded and started walking toward the door.
She had been practicing for an hour and was tired. She needed to go back and rest.
Just then, a hand suddenly grabbed her wrist. She glanced down and saw it was him. Her gaze traveled up his arm to meet his dark, deep eyes.
