Chloe Reed dropped flat, not even daring to move!
The nearest bullet had landed right beside her head!
Fortunately, they had found good cover that completely concealed their bodies.
Meanwhile, Daniel Hayes was still changing positions.
While he changed positions, he fired in that direction.
Every shot he fired was a guaranteed hit.
Chloe didn’t dare to move recklessly. She quietly raised her head to peek in that direction.
A cloud of dust and smoke drifted through the air as frantic footsteps closed in. There were a lot of them.
Chloe’s heart sank.
Just then, someone looked her way. Chloe’s heart dropped, and she immediately fired a shot at the person.
Her recent shooting practice hadn’t been for nothing. Her aim was decent, but she couldn’t manage to hit a vital spot.
But by firing, she had given away her position!
Thankfully, Daniel Hayes was there to provide cover, drawing their attention. The attackers didn’t dare to advance on her position recklessly.
After all, they had no idea how many people were with Chloe.
Soon, Daniel Hayes ran out of ammo, and Chloe had managed to wound two of them.
But there were even more people coming from behind them!
Chloe scrambled to a new position and checked the bullets in her handgun, her gaze hardening with resolve.
But in the next instant, she suddenly felt an icy gaze land on her!
A shiver ran down her spine. She quickly looked around and saw him—a man in camouflage, standing on a branch in front of her.
The man wore a helmet and his face was smeared with camo paint. He was holding a gun aimed right at her, his gaze cold and detached.
’It’s over...’
Chloe’s heart lurched.
’I’ve been spotted.’
