Daniel Hayes looked completely lost. "Hey, Chloe, what exactly are you trying to do? Just tell me."
Chloe Reed turned to look at him and pointed outside. She subconsciously opened her mouth to speak, but a second before any sound came out, she suddenly remembered she couldn’t talk anymore. Her expression went blank for a moment, and then she picked up her phone to type.
Find Sunny Reed.
After reading it, a confused look appeared on Daniel Hayes’s face. "But she hasn’t woken up yet."
Chloe Reed didn’t type anything else, just stared at him stubbornly.
"Alright, alright, I’ll take you there." Her stare made Daniel Hayes feel uneasy, so he gave in and led her in that direction.
Sunny Reed was in another hospital room. She was still unconscious, an oxygen mask on her face. She looked gaunt, her face ashen.
Chloe Reed stood by the bed, watching her coldly.
Daniel Hayes said, "She’s very weak, and her injuries made it even worse. If they hadn’t saved her in time, she might have died."
Chloe Reed didn’t react, just kept watching her coldly. After a long moment, she suddenly reached out and pressed down on the wound on Sunny Reed’s abdomen.
She applied pressure little by little, and Sunny Reed’s abdomen began to sink inward.
The wound split open, and fresh blood soaked through the gauze and her hospital gown.
Even in her unconscious state, Sunny Reed’s brow furrowed tightly, her face contorting in pain.
Chloe Reed didn’t let go. Instead, she pressed even harder on the wound.
More and more blood flowed out. Sunny Reed’s eyes shot open as she let out a pained, muffled groan.
Seeing this, Chloe Reed finally released her hand.
Her fingers were stained with blood. She let her arm hang, and droplets of blood from her fingertips fell to the floor, quickly forming a small pool.
