Chloe Reed clenched her phone, a sarcastic smile touching her lips.
This was Judith Pierce’s show of "good faith."
She had agreed to their terms.
So, the job that had been stolen from her was now being given back.
They really were true to their word.
She took a deep breath and said with a smile, "Alright. Tomorrow, then."
"Okay, I’ll be waiting for you." The person in charge then hung up.
Chloe Reed wiped her face with her hand. ’Since the opportunity came knocking, I might as well take it.’
’It was what I deserved.’
’The voice acting role was originally mine to begin with.’
Iris Yates saw that she had stopped crying after taking the call and asked in confusion, "Chloe, what happened?"
Chloe Reed’s lips curved into a smile. "That job that was stolen from me... I got it back."
"Whoa!" Iris Yates exclaimed, throwing her arms around her. "That’s fantastic! That shameless bitch stole your job, so they must have rejected her because she’s incompetent. Heh, who cares if she has some scumbag backing her up? She has no talent of her own but still tries to steal from others. Ptooey!"
She took the opportunity to thoroughly curse out Sunny Reed.
"Good one. If you’ve got more, let ’em have it."
"..."
Sunny Reed received a call informing her that she wasn’t a good fit for the role and that since the contract hadn’t been finalized, the arrangement was off.
She couldn’t believe her ears. After hanging up, she immediately dialed another number.
It was the number of the voice acting company’s boss. She immediately demanded, "Didn’t Walker’s people talk to you? I was supposed to voice that role. Why was I replaced?"
The voice acting company’s boss was named Ken Jacobs. He chuckled and said, "Young Madam, this order came directly from Mrs. Grant. I’m just the owner of a small company. How could I dare to go against the wife of the Grant Corporation’s chairman?"
’Judith Pierce?’
