The hospital room fell silent. No one answered Fiona Linton’s question.
Fiona Linton’s face was full of confusion. She glanced around the room before finally looking at Chloe Reed and asking, "Chloe, what on earth happened?"
Chloe Reed pursed her lips, picked up her phone, and typed, "Iris Yates is his wife."
"Holy shit!"
Hearing this, Fiona Linton let out another gasp of shock.
Her face was etched with disbelief. "This is insane! I knew that madman William Quinn would do something even crazier eventually, but I never expected him to actually steal another man’s wife."
Dylan Finch couldn’t resist asking, "Doctor Linton, you seem to know Mr. Quinn very well?"
Fiona Linton replied with a disgusted expression, "I heard about him from my parents, and I’ve met him a couple of times myself. I keep my distance from people like him."
She rubbed her chin and continued, "But I’ve never seen him with any woman, nor have I heard about him having one. I did, however, hear a rumor that a woman tried to get into his bed, and he had her stripped naked and thrown into the slums..."
As she spoke, her expression changed, her features twisting with visceral disgust for William Quinn.
"Someone like that is utterly vicious, cruel, and insane—he’s practically inhuman." Fiona Linton looked at Chloe Reed and said softly, "With that Iris Yates in his clutches... I can’t even imagine what she must be enduring..."
Chloe Reed’s face turned even paler.
"You can shut up now," Walker Grant said coldly.
Fiona Linton pursed her lips. "I’m just stating facts. Why can’t I say it?"
But the hospital room fell silent once more.
Chloe Reed turned and walked straight out of the room.
