Chapter 696: Chapter 696: Not Getting a Divorce Anymore?

The hospital room fell silent.

After a moment, Judith Pierce asked, "So, you two aren’t getting a divorce?"

Chloe Reed felt the hand holding hers subconsciously tighten. She lifted her gaze to Walker Grant, but his expression remained calm, betraying no other emotion.

Walker Grant said, "Mm."

Judith Pierce sighed heavily and sat down. "If you’re not getting a divorce, then what was all that drama before? You had both families in an uproar."

Walker Grant’s tone grew colder. "I was the one who crossed the line and wronged Chloe. I was wrong, so I deserve to be punished."

Judith Pierce looked at him, her expression complex, but she quickly realized he couldn’t see her at all. She hesitated and began, "Walker, actually..."

"Mom."

But Walker Grant cut her off. "You must be exhausted after your flight. Why don’t you go rest at a nearby hotel? Doctor Linton said I’ll be discharged soon."

Judith Pierce pursed her lips. "Alright."

Then, she looked at Arthur Grant. "Let’s go to the hotel."

Arthur Grant frowned, looking at Walker Grant with clear dissatisfaction. He wanted to scold him, but Judith Pierce quickly pulled him back, and they left the hospital room together.

Once outside the hospital, she couldn’t help but say, "Didn’t we agree on this? That you’d just keep quiet? Why couldn’t you control yourself the moment you saw him?"

Arthur Grant looked at the familiar sights of his home country, a flash of grief in his eyes. "The moment the plane landed, I thought of Julian. Every time I used to come back from a business trip abroad, Julian would be at the airport to pick me up."

His voice grew husky and strained. "After we got in the car, he would tell me how things were at home, and talk about his performance at the Group."

Listening to him, Judith Pierce’s heart ached. She wiped her tears and said, "Arthur, it’s been four years. It’s time to move on. We have to look forward."
