Judith Pierce was at a loss for words, her expression freezing slightly.
She had just seen Chloe Reed’s grandmother here and subconsciously thought of Madam Grant.
That was Walker Grant’s grandmother, after all.
Although she had never been particularly fond of Walker Grant since he was a child, she had always provided for him as she should.
’Now, he can be so kind and gentle to a grandmother with whom he has no blood relation, so why can’t he be a little more tolerant of his own? Everything Madam Grant did was for his own good!’
A jumble of thoughts ran through Judith Pierce’s mind, but she didn’t dare voice them. She was afraid that if she did, Walker Grant would immediately tell her to leave.
She wouldn’t leave.
Noah couldn’t walk, and Walker Grant was blind. How could she possibly leave, knowing things were this bad?
The old woman glanced at Judith Pierce, a flicker of light in her cloudy eyes.
Chloe Reed’s lovely brows furrowed almost imperceptibly, and she felt a little uneasy.
"Chloe, what did you make today? Is there anything I like?"
Just then, Walker Grant’s voice broke the silence. He turned to face her and asked quizzically.
Chloe Reed snapped back to reality and picked up her chopsticks to put some food in his bowl.
Walker Grant’s lips curved into a smile. "Thank you."
Judith Pierce was about to introduce the dishes when she saw that Chloe Reed was only picking out Walker Grant’s favorite foods, and her expression immediately grew complicated.
"I want to get food for Uncle Walker too!" Noah piped up, picking up a piece of his own favorite dish and putting it directly into Walker Grant’s bowl.
His big eyes were fixed on Walker Grant. "Uncle Walker, do you need me to feed you?"
Walker Grant’s lips curled into a smile. "No, that’s okay. You just need to take care of yourself."
Noah said, "I can take care of myself, and I can take care of Uncle Walker too. I’m a big boy now!"
His voice was still boyish and sweet, but it already held a hint of responsibility.
