Chapter 728: Chapter 728: Apologizing to Big Brother

She took out the hairdryer and started drying his hair. Amidst the whirring noise, he suddenly reached out and wrapped his arms around her waist.

Chloe Reed’s movements stiffened, but she didn’t push him away and continued to dry his hair.

His hair was short and dried quickly. She turned off the hairdryer, and seeing that he showed no intention of letting go, she gave him a little push.

Walker Grant said in a low voice, "I’m going to the cemetery tomorrow."

Chloe Reed blinked and drew a question mark on his shoulder with her finger.

’What’s he going to the cemetery for?’

"To apologize to my big brother."

Walker Grant’s voice was a bit hoarse.

Chloe Reed’s heart clenched. A long moment passed before she made a sound in reply.

In bed, the two of them lay side-by-side with no romantic thoughts. The room was dark and quiet, but neither had any desire to sleep.

That night, Chloe Reed tossed and turned, and she knew that Walker Grant wasn’t asleep either.

The next day, he told Judith Pierce about it.

Judith Pierce’s expression faltered for a moment, then she nodded. "Alright, I’ll go with you."

Then, she looked at Chloe Reed. "I’ll have to trouble you to look after Noah for now."

Before Chloe Reed could even nod, Noah said, "I’ll take care of Auntie Chloe!"

Judith Pierce smiled and patted Noah’s head. "Our Noah is such a good boy."

Fiona Linton said, "You two go on and do what you need to. I’ll take care of them."

"Fiona, we’ll be counting on you then." Judith Pierce looked at her gratefully.

Fiona Linton smiled and said, "I consider Chloe a friend. It’s only right to take care of a friend."

The old madam watched them, and after Walker Grant and Judith Pierce had left, she took Chloe Reed’s hand and asked quizzically, "Chloe, did something happen?"
