Outcast Omega Pampered by the Alpha General novel Chapter 148

Chapter 148 Three Hundred

“Because you wanted to comfort me. That makes me happy.”

“Huh?”

Julian frowned.

Julian felt wronged.

Julian put on a solemn face.

Simps

“No. I already said it, and I don’t take back what I say. Since I asked, you have to let me do something.”

“Can I save it for later?”

Orion was helplessly charmed by the little Omega’s stubborn seriousness.

“No.”

Julian did not hesitate.

“All right.”

Orion thought for a moment, then spoke directly to Caleb Hayes through the channel.

“Pack up every insectoid core your regiment hunted and send them to Mecha Repair Bay One aboard Ursus. Now.”

“Yes, sir!”

With Orion’s order, Caleb and the others needed only ten minutes to drag a huge batch of insectoid cores straight into the repair bay.

They had been hunting high-rank targets from the start, so none of the cores they brought back were below A-class.

The higher the rank of an insectoid core, and the fresher it was, the more violent the energy inside it became.

Extracting that energy and turning it into energy blocks would naturally be more complex and more dangerous.

That was exactly why the makers in the back five repair bays kept setting off explosions.

“Little-Master Julian, we’re almost out of energy blocks. Could you make us some?”

Caleb smiled with absolutely shameless sincerity.

He had nearly called Julian “little gentleman.”

Fortunately, he was quick enough to slam the brakes in time.

“You only need energy blocks?”

Julian looked at Caleb.

Then he looked at Orion again.

“Mm. Sorry to trouble you.”

Orion nodded.

The energy-block shortage across both legions was enormous.

Because of that shortage, the entire defense line had to pull inward, and every mecha soldier had to conserve weapon usage.

Once soldiers began holding back, gaps appeared.

If those gaps were sealed quickly, the line could survive.

But if high-rank insectoids found those openings and widened them, the whole defensive formation could be torn apart by the swarm in an instant.

Once a line broke, rebuilding it would be horrific.

It would take lives to fill that gap.

No legion wanted that price.

No commander wanted to see it happen.

“The Vanguard Regiment is made entirely of S-class Alphas, with Caleb, a 2S Alpha, commanding them. At

a time like this, if they have enough energy blocks, they’ll become one of the anchors holding the defense line together.”

Orion smiled faintly.

“And whether they have enough depends on you.”

Julian immediately lifted one of Ruin’s paws and said with full seriousness, “Little black cat, copy that!”

Ruin said, “?”

Ruin said, “Meow!”

Orion said nothing.

“Hahahahaha-holy shit-hahahahahaha!”

The moment Caleb heard the wolf cub meow, he clutched his stomach with one hand and pinched his thigh hard with the other, desperately trying not to laugh.

Unfortunately, his mouth had its own ideas.

It refused to listen.

What could Orion do?

He could only rub his brow and look at his useless wolf cab with both irritation and amusement.

Once Julian decided to do something, he gave it his full attention.

Everyone watched as he placed the shrunken wolf cub on his shoulder, took out his new extraction pen, and walked toward the pile of insectoid cores.

“What is Julian doing? He can’t really be planning to make energy blocks from that entire pile, right?”

Blair Frost’s red lips parted.

She wanted to comment, but she was afraid of being slapped in the face again.

“Who knows? These aren’t ordinary cores. If the energy inside them backlashes, a month in bed would be considered lucky.”

Morday folded her arms.

A strange, deep hatred for Julian rose from somewhere inside her.

“I hope he can do it.”

Yorland Adrian looked up from the mecha arm he was repairing. His gaze was still arrogant, but his words were fair.

“If the defense line breaks and the mothership falls, it won’t be just him dying while I live. I don’t care whether he dies, but I definitely don’t plan to.”

Blair said, “!”

That made sense.

Too much sense.

Then they saw Julian pause with the extraction pen in his hand.

He looked up at Caleb.

“How many do you need?”
