Outcast Omega Pampered by the Alpha General novel Chapter 357

Chapter 357 A Promise Under the Moon

And it was not only Serena, Anya, and Quinn.

Jelena Mendes from the Fifth Legion was there.

So was Lily Snow from the Fourth Legion.

“One day…”

Quinn Zeller removed his glasses.

His eyes were red, as if sand had gotten into them. Even his usual handsome sharpness had dimmed.

“At most, one day.”

Atlas exhaled heavily.

Finished

Before they learned Harper had developed such a violent rejection response, Atlas and the Second and Third Legion people had not said it aloud, but a small hope had remained in their hearts.

Laurie Rick had once been in a similar state.

Maybe the eco-mammoth had been less badly injured than Harper’s Dragonlord, but the symptoms had resembled this.

If that little monster of talent could save the mammoth, perhaps he could save Dragonlord too.

Taking ten thousand steps back…

had that little monster not helped Orion stabilize his psychic sea?

Orion’s psychic sea core remained shattered even now.

Yet General Silver was alive and bouncing, even meowing at that little monster every day.

Unfortunately…

the rejection inside Harper’s psychic sea was too violent.

Jelena.

¿Serena.

Anya.

Lily

The healing-type psychic power of all four top healers only needed to approach Harper’s shattered psychic sea, and turbulence would erupt at once. The energy leaked faster and faster, cutting off Harper’s path to life

If even they were rejected, that little monster probably would be too.

After all, he was not Harper’s partner.

Just as Atlas and the others were thinking that, Orion finally arrived on the Siren with Julian.

Orion held Julian’s hand and walked ahead quickly.

Julian knew Orion was grieving

He knew Harper’s situation was urgent.

But the short little Omega’s legs were truly too short.

Finished

As if noticing his struggle, Orion finally crouched down apologetically and motioned for Julian to climb onto his back.

Then he carried the Omega forward.

Fast.

Every step impossibly heavy.

Thirty-five years ago, his mother, Queen Lyra Ashford, had sacrificed herself.

Orion had only been three.

At that age, he had not understood sacrifice.

His mother had spent most of her time on the border, away from him far more often than she was with him. He had not known her deeply enough to understand that loss like an adult.

He only knew Uncle Evan Ashford often carried him on his back late at night and cried secretly in the courtyard.

He only knew that every year, on his birthday, he received a special little gift from Aunt Harper and the Sixth Legion.

Sometimes it was a strange green crystal that glittered, taken from an insectoid corpse.

Sometimes it was the newest mecha weapon, useless to activate but perfect for a child to collect.

Sometimes it was a starship model, a starport model, a hovercar…

Every year.

Never late.

Aunt Harper always said these were things his mother had wanted to arrange for him before she left. His mother could not do them anymore, so Harper had to do them for her.

But Orion knew.

Lyra Ashford would not have said something like that.

Because Lyra had first been the imperial queen and the Empire’s first healer.

So Julian could only wipe the Alpha’s tears again and say helplessly, “Orion, I will think of something.”

Orion said nothing.

Julian always called him stupid.

But Orion thought Julian was the stupid one.

He was not crying to burden anyone.

He was simply letting his emotions out.

Yet there was one person who could not bear to see him cry.

Only a few tears were enough to make that person panic, enough to make him fumble, enough to make him promise a solution just to coax Orion into being happy again.

So Orion forced the tears back.

Even though his voice was still heavy, he said to Julian with an Alpha’s embarrassing weakness, dependence and almost spoiled softness, “Julian, I like you. Orion likes you.”

Julian: “?”

Julian scratched his head.

Were they not discussing how to save Harper?

The little robot’s CPU was nearly burning.

But Orion started running with him on his back.

Fast as wind.

The steps that had been so heavy suddenly turned light.

Just like the first time Ruin had carried him, howling as it ran.

At that moment. Orion…

seemed very happy.

Julian did not understand why Orion was happy.

But Julian could be happy because Orion was happy.

Very soon, Orion carried Julian to the command room door.

Before Atlas, Marston, and the others could greet them, Julian, who had said he would think of something and was therefore in a hurry, jumped down from Orion’s back.
