Sebastian's expression shifted slightly. He looked at her with blatant caution. "What if I am?"

"It's just that... I've never heard Master Padraig mention having a student like you," Phoenix replied, a cryptic, knowing smile playing on her lips.

The hands hidden in Sebastian's pockets tightened into fists. He obviously wasn't Master Padraig's student. He only dared to make the claim because Padraig had been a recluse for years, and he wanted to leverage the name to get closer to MK Global.

"Phoenix, is anyone in the Prescott family actually normal?" Meredith stepped forward, looking incredibly disturbed.

"If they were normal, I wouldn't be standing here right now." Phoenix sighed. "Do you know how the Prescott family amassed all this massive wealth?"

Meredith shook her head.

"They traded their brains for it. That's why every single one of them is completely unhinged." Phoenix tapped her temple and let out a cold laugh. "Alistair is a force to be reckoned with, but unfortunately, he raised a useless son. With Warren at the helm, the Prescott empire is running on borrowed time."

"Then you must be a genetic mutation," Meredith joked. "Warren's entire branch of the family is completely insane. You're the only one with a functioning brain."

"Brat." Phoenix smiled fondly, tapping Meredith lightly on the nose.

"By the way, what did Sebastian mean when he said I was going to be destroyed today?" Meredith asked, a flicker of worry in her eyes.

"You'll find out soon enough." Phoenix left her hanging. Her secretive smirk was driving Meredith absolutely crazy.

"Just tell me! Leaving me in suspense is torture!"

"Merry, relax," Macy chimed in, leaning over with a wicked grin. "Phoenix and I prepared a spectacular show for you. If we spoil the ending... it ruins the fun."

Macy and Phoenix exchanged a knowing look, smiling in perfect sync.

Meredith groaned. So she was the only one entirely in the dark?

Across the room, Sebastian returned to Phoebe's side, gently patting her hair with a look of pure adoration.

"That's MK Global's design director, Charles Vane," Meredith whispered. "MK Global is the main sponsor of this expo. Whoever takes first place is guaranteed a massive, exclusive partnership with them."

Her eyes sparkled with raw ambition.

"If Lumina wins today, we can use their momentum to break straight into the global market." Meredith looked at Phoenix with burning intensity. "Then I'll finally have enough power to protect you from everything."

Phoenix felt a surge of warmth in her chest.
