Please Me Daddy (Gracie) novel Chapter 245

I looked at both of them without reacting.

Normally, their teasing might have irritated me, but right now they were the least of my concerns. I didn’t even care that they had shamelessly declared themselves my groomsmen without asking for my permission.

None of that mattered. The only thing that mattered was the woman who would soon walk through those doors, because she was my everything.

Wyatt, who had been standing nearby adjusting his tie, glanced over after hearing the conversation. Unlike the other two, he didn’t look amused. Instead, he gave me a warm, understanding smile.

Don’t worry, Mr. Reed,he said calmly. It will be okay. I was also nervous on my wedding day.

I turned my head slightly to look at him. Wyatt was Grace’s friend, and over time we had grown familiar enough with each other

Her fingers brushed along my jaw. You look so hot that sometimes I wonder if you’re really my husband.

I raised an eyebrow slightly, but she kept going. Age has nothing to do with you. You still look so young. The only thing giving you away is those strands of white hair and those mature eyes.

I watched her quietly while she talked, her expression completely sincere as if she was analyzing an unsolved mystery. Without realizing it, my lips curved into a small smile. Grace had changed in many ways over the years. She had grown stronger, more confident, and more powerful. But with me, she was still the same woman I met fifteen years ago.

The same woman who could speak her thoughts so openly without realizing how much she affected me. My hand lifted and gently caught her chin, tilting her face upward.

She blinked in confusion. Before she could ask what I was doing, I leaned down and kissed her.

She gasped softly against my lips but immediately wrapped her arms around my neck, kissing me back without hesitation. And as our lips met, a memory from fourteen years ago flashed through my mind.

***Flashback*

Apollo?

The deep voice pulled me out of my thoughts, and I turned my head slightly to the side to see Ryan standing next to me, his head tilted as he studied my face carefully.

I raised an eyebrow at him.

Ryan crossed his arms and frowned faintly. I’ve been calling you for the past minute,he said. What happened to you?

I looked at him without answering.

Behind him, Theodore suddenly let out a low chuckle.

Why are you asking something so obvious, Ryan?he said lazily, a smirk spreading across his face as he leaned back in his chair. Maybe you’ve just never seen the terrifying Apollo Reed nervous before. That’s exactly what’s wrong with him now. The great Apollo Reed is nervous. And honestly, I can’t blame him. Today is his wedding day after all.

Ryan glanced at Theodore before shifting his gaze back to me again.

For anyone else looking at my face, they probably would have seen nothing unusual. My expression was still cold and composed as always, my posture straight, my eyes calm, but Ryan had known me long enough.

Something flickered in my eyes for the briefest moment, and when he noticed it, his lips slowly curved upward.

I see,he said, clearly entertained. So that’s what was wrong with you.

He shook his head lightly. How amusing.

At the very least, he was far less annoying than the other two. So I nodded once in acknowledgment.

My gaze returned to the large doors at the end of the hall.

She still wasn’t there.

The hall itself was already filled with people, though not many. Grace had insisted on a small wedding. She didn’t want a grand ceremony with hundreds of strangers watching. She wanted something simple, and intimate that only included the people she loved.

Chase sat quietly in the front row, holding a baby in his arms while occasionally rocking her gently to keep her calm.

Hannah.

A year after Grace gave birth and fully recovered, I proposed to her. I still remembered the way she looked at me when I asked her to marry me. And when she said yes, I knew there was nothing in this world that could ever make me happier.

Now we were finally here.

The doors at the end of the hall suddenly opened. My heart skipped, but the person who entered wasn’t her.

It was Eleanor.

She hurried down the aisle quickly before taking her place beside the other bridesmaids. When her eyes met mine, she smiled brightly as if she already knew exactly what I was thinking. Before I could react, the doors opened again. This time two small figures walked in together.

Lucas and Liana.

They were still little, dressed in formal clothes while carrying small baskets filled with flower petals. As they walked down the aisle, they carefully tossed the petals onto the floor, giggling quietly as they went.

My father’s voice echoed through the microphone.
