Liu Cuixong didn’t say anything else, whether she believed it or not was uncertain.
Lian He personally brought people to pick them up and took them to the villa at Xiangquan Lake.
Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian had already stayed there before, so they were familiar with it.
"This is Xiao Yue’s house. You can stay here with peace of mind. Although Xiao Yue hasn’t returned yet, you are all Xiao Yue’s family and therefore my family as well. I hope you won’t feel restrained." Lian He wore casual clothes, not something formal like a suit, looking like an approachable, nice middle-aged man.
Zhang Hualian was also aware that after Tang Yue was recognized back, this villa was transferred under Tang Yue’s name.
Now a large group of them was living in the house quite comfortably.
Lian He left a cook and a driver and then intended to leave.
Tang Zhengde called out to Lian He, saying, "Xiao Yang is getting married soon. If there’s anything you need help with from Hualian and me, don’t hesitate to ask."
"Although I haven’t raised Xiao Yang for a day, just because Xiao Yang calls me Mr. Tang, I ought to contribute to his wedding." Tang Zhengde spoke earnestly. Maybe in terms of money, Tang Zhengde couldn’t compare to Lian He, but when it came to love for the children, Tang Zhengde felt he should do what he should.
"Thank you, but most of it is being handled by the wedding company, nothing much else, just please attend the wedding when the time comes." Lian He said with a smile. Over the years, the relationship between Lian He and Tang Zhengde had gradually transitioned from awkwardness to friendship.
Lian He had already come to terms with his relationship with Zhang Hualian.
Lian He stayed at the villa for a while and then left, fearing his presence would make them uneasy.
Liu Cuixong looked at this villa, continuously praising it, saying this was the true definition of a villa, both beautiful and grand.
Granny Tang and Elder Mrs. Zhang were also visiting for the first time; Granny Tang asked, "Hualian, is this house Xiao Yue’s?"
"Yes." Zhang Hualian nodded.
Tang Zhengde said, "It’s given to Xiao Yue by the Lian Family."
"Wow, the Lian Family is really wealthy." Granny Tang looked at this house, unable to help but click her tongue.
Tang Zhenghong was even more amazed, she had never lived in such a good house in her life.
Oh my goodness, how much could this cost?
From the moment she entered, Tang Zhenghong was completely stunned. Looking at the house, the furniture seemed very exquisite, just like those wealthy families you see on TV.
"The Lian Family is indeed quite rich, but it has nothing to do with us." Elder Mrs. Zhang understood well that the Lian Family was respectful to them only because of Lian Qingyang and Tang Yue.
Elder Mrs. Zhang felt a myriad of emotions; before coming here, she hadn’t thought so much, but upon arriving, she realized the vast disparity.
Being born in such a family, it was no wonder Lian He was the most popular young man in the village when he went down to the countryside.
Back then, Mr. Zhang, Zhang Hualian’s father, advised Zhang Hualian that Lian He was not simple, telling her to think carefully before proceeding.
But Zhang Hualian, immersed in love, didn’t listen to advice at all.
Liu Cuixong and Yan Wei?
Zhang Qiang paused and instinctively lightened his steps, indeed, those two hadn’t noticed him.
"Yan Wei, you aren’t suitable for Qiangzi." Although Liu Cuixong worried about Zhang Qiang’s marriage, it didn’t mean just any girl could marry into the Zhang Family.
In Liu Cuixong’s mind, no matter what, a girl’s family should be clean at least in some aspect that she deems acceptable.
But, Yan Wei?
Her mother just passed away, apparently, she only had a stepfather, which made her lonely and helpless, without parents, having secretly come to Sea City to work, lacking money and family background, only with that passable face; Liu Cuixong feared Yan Wei might get ideas, thus finding an opportunity to pull Yan Wei aside.
"Aunt, you’ve misunderstood." Yan Wei tightly grabbed her sleeve, having nowhere else to go; otherwise, she wouldn’t have agreed to follow Zhang Qiang to look for work.
It seemed she was still too naive; Zhang Qiang was kind-hearted, but Zhang Qiang’s mom seemed to have misunderstood her.
"Misunderstood what? You’re a girl working in Sea City, dare you say you have no other intentions towards Zhang Qiang?" Liu Cuixong pressed aggressively; back in the village, she was very fierce, only after years of living comfortably had she restrained her sharp side.
Now facing someone seemingly trying to snatch her son, Liu Cuixong didn’t hold back.
"Mom, what nonsense are you talking?" Zhang Qiang hadn’t thought Liu Cuixong could think like this; he strode forward, stood in front of Yan Wei, and said to Liu Cuixong, "Mom, you’ve always wanted me to marry someone. Not to mention that Yan Wei and I have no such relationship; even if I wanted to marry Yan Wei, mom, is this how you treat your future daughter-in-law?"
Zhang Qiang was truly furious; whatever the relationship between him and Yan Wei, Liu Cuixong’s approach really disrespected people.
