"Let’s go over there and take a look." Yuan Yu walked over to Tang Jun’s side, only feeling safe when she was near him.
"A blind guy finding something? That’d be a miracle."
Ni Yan looked disdainfully and flatly refused Yuan Yu, his displeasure obvious as he glanced at Tang Jun, whom he disliked even more. Suddenly, his gaze fell on the gentle slope nearby. This bloody blind guy was just an eyesore, and Ni Yan quietly edged closer to Tang Jun.
"Don’t go too close to the edge; be careful not to fall." As Yuan Yu searched for ginseng, she repeatedly warned Tang Jun not to go near the edge.
"No worries, I’m standing firm, you’re really nice."
Tang Jun grinned, looking like a clueless young man.
Yuan Yu smirked without saying anything further.
Tang Jun sensed Ni Yan’s tentative approach and pondered the reason—Ni Yan was narrow-minded and likely found him displeasing.
Now, moving quietly and subtly, Ni Yan must have some ill intent.
A gentle slope was right nearby; was Ni Yan planning to do something to him?
Tang Jun was about to step back but suddenly paused. He turned his head and asked, "Xiao Ming, how’s the search for ginseng going? We should find more and keep some for ourselves."
"Brother, don’t worry, I’m trying hard to find them." Holding the responsibility of marking the spot, He Ming stayed crouched, ostensibly seeking the herb with a sense of urgency and anxiety. No one doubted how concerned He Ming was for his brother’s eyes.
"There should be a lot of ginseng around here; why can’t we find any?"
Yuan Yu also found it odd. The area was known for plenty of ginseng, yet they hadn’t found any despite searching for so long.
Yuan Yu earnestly searched but found nothing after a long time.
"Hey, what’s that?"
Suddenly, Ni Yan shouted loudly, pointing his flashlight towards the distance, and like the wind, ran swiftly forward, crashing into Tang Jun in the process.
Although Tang Jun could have evaded Ni Yan’s move, he didn’t and instead fell towards the slope to the side, letting out a shout with an expression of feigned panic, rolling down into the mountain ravine, consciously protecting his head and vital areas.
"What happened?"
Initially, everyone looked at Ni Yan, but soon focused on where Tang Jun had rolled down. The loud noise when Tang Jun fell grabbed everyone’s attention, with flashlights trained on his fall.
"Brother."
He Ming jumped with shock seeing Tang Jun tumble down, instinctively wanting to rush over but soon slowed his pace.
Stumbling, He Ming jogged down the slippery, difficult slope on the rainy day.
Tang Jun.
Yuan Yu nearly shouted Tang Jun’s name, glaring at Ni Yan saying, "Why did you deliberately push him down?"
Ni Yan was about to voice his prepared excuse, but Yuan Yu had already rolled down.
Yes, she really rolled down.
Unlike He Ming who slid down slowly, Yuan Yu just rolled.
"You’re crazy!"
