"Sister, even if I have money, I can’t buy it?"
Zaozao glanced at the look on the sales assistant’s face, frowning immediately. He really liked this razor.
"You can buy it."
The sales assistant nodded without a second thought, as the purpose of opening a store is to sell goods. The items displayed on the counter are naturally for sale.
But...
The sales assistant looked at Zaozao again and asked, "Little boy, if you’re using your own money to buy this, do your parents know?"
If it gets sold and the parents come back to return it, it would be troublesome. A razor is a personal item, and once sold, unless there’s a quality issue, it cannot be returned.
The sales assistant reminded, "Once this razor is sold, unless there is a quality issue, which means the razor is broken, it can be returned; otherwise, it cannot be returned."
Worried that Zaozao might not understand, the sales assistant explained more plainly.
"I got it, sister, quickly wrap it for me." Zaozao looked at the sales assistant as if she was an idiot. If it weren’t for her kind reminder, Zaozao would have already been impatient.
He had already taken out the money, yet she wasn’t wrapping the product quickly.
"Don’t you want to take another look around?" Chenchen looked at Zaozao with a tangled expression.
Zaozao had decided. Now, what should she buy for dad?
While the sales assistant was wrapping up Zaozao’s purchase, Chenchen’s beautiful big eyes wandered around the mall. Yet, no matter where she looked, she couldn’t find anything suitable for dad.
Suddenly, Chenchen saw some delicious grilled meat. She said something to Zaozao and walked over to buy some skewers.
Smelling the aroma of the grilled skewers, Chenchen’s mouth watered uncontrollably.
"Sister, I want ten skewers."
Chenchen gestured and thought for a moment, then changed her mind, "I want twenty skewers."
"Alright." The skewer vendor took twenty skewers, grilling while chatting with Chenchen. Although there were plenty of pretty girls, one as unique as Chenchen, coming alone, was rare.
"Little girl, why are you here alone buying food?"
"With my brother."
Chenchen was fully focused on the skewers and casually answered the vendor’s question.
"Where are your parents?" the vendor asked again.
Chenchen replied, "Behind us."
She knew Aunt Ding followed behind them.
The vendor noticed the little girl staring unblinkingly at the skewers and knew she was tempted, so he said no more and focused on grilling the meat.
Soon the vendor finished grilling. Chenchen paid, grabbed a bunch of skewers in each hand, and happily started eating.
Delicious.
As Chenchen took a bite, her eyes instantly lit up. She turned back to the store where Zaozao bought the razor.
"Be careful, Mom will scold you." Zaozao looked disdainfully at the skewers in her hands.
"I brought you some."
Chenchen reluctantly shared half with him and said, "If you don’t say anything, I don’t say anything, and Aunt Ding doesn’t say anything, how will Mom know?"
"I don’t want it."
Zaozao didn’t like such things, even though they smelled great, but appeared...
"Aunt Ding, do you want some?" Chenchen straightforwardly offered the skewers to Ding Ling.
Ding Ling smiled and shook her head, "I’m not eating. You enjoy it, but if your mom finds out, I won’t help you."
"She won’t know. If Aunt Ding doesn’t say, Mom won’t know."
Chenchen nibbled skewer by skewer, joyfully smiling with curved eyes.
"Chenchen, what exactly are you going to buy for dad? Let’s hurry up, finish buying, and go home." Zaozao disliked wandering around aimlessly.
