Rebirth in 1986: Unforgettable Regrets novel Chapter 895

Chapter 895: Chapter 895: How About I Give You an Autograph?

Tang Yue was deeply absorbed in her sketching. When inspiration hit, her design sketches flowed effortlessly. It wasn’t until little Zaozao and little Chenchen got hungry that her chest reminded her of the time with a pang, realizing she’d been drawing for over two hours.

"Xiao Yue, it’s not that I’m nagging, but even though you’ve finished your confinement period, you still shouldn’t strain your eyes like this," Zhang Hualian said, coaxing little Zaozao while earnestly advising Tang Yue.

Tang Yue hadn’t been out of confinement for long, and sketching for over two hours wasn’t good for her eyes.

"Mom, I won’t do it next time," Tang Yue promptly replied, adjusting her hold on little Chenchen for a more comfortable position. As little Chenchen nursed rapidly, her damp eyelashes tugged at Tang Yue’s heartstrings.

"Mom, I’m actually pretty fast at sketching. I’ll take breaks every hour from now on," Tang Yue reassured, having finished nursing little Chenchen, then took hold of little Zaozao for her turn.

The siblings always followed this pattern, with little Chenchen nursing first, and then it was little Zaozao’s turn. Sometimes, if there wasn’t enough milk, little Zaozao would have formula instead.

"We’re not short of money at home now, so you shouldn’t work as hard as you used to," Zhang Hualian advised.

Even while in confinement, Tang Yue listened to English tapes, sometimes enjoying music, and discussed work matters with Sun Qing and the others.

Even in confinement, Tang Yue was far from idle.

"Mom, I don’t feel tired at all," Tang Yue replied earnestly, understanding Zhang Hualian’s concern. She changed the subject, asking, "By the way, how’s Dad’s restaurant doing?"

"It’s doing quite well," Zhang Hualian couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride when talking about Tang Zhengde’s restaurant. Whether in Wangjiang County or Jing City, business was consistently good, a testament to how delicious Tang Zhengde’s cooking truly was.

...

"Sister Xiao Yue, look, these are new fabrics from several factories. They’ve sent us quite a few," Jin Yan said, carrying in the fabrics. This time, the manufacturers had sent numerous new fabrics, and she brought them all over.

Since the studio next door was already setting up, bringing the fabrics over now was perfectly timed, saving them another trip later.

"Let me take a look."

Tang Yue examined the new fabrics, and the red material was just right for her design sketches.

Hmm, compared to before, several other new fabrics had also improved significantly.

Tang Yue had Jin Yan store them in the guest room first because there weren’t many tools here. Even if she wanted to make clothes, she’d have to wait until the setup was complete next door.

This period was a great opportunity to create more design sketches.

Jin Yan, this assistant, was fantastic. Without her capable support at Star Bright, Tang Yue couldn’t have managed so easily.

Jin Yan spent the whole day busy here, so naturally, she stayed for dinner.

They hadn’t even started eating when Xie Ni arrived.

After the award ceremony, Xie Ni had attended several events, and with a three-hour gap, she came to the Tang Family, intending to thank Tang Yue.

Without Star Bright and Tang Yue, Xie Ni couldn’t believe her career could be so smooth.

She was always singing the same way, but no one had ever praised her for her outfit or presence before.

Ever since collaborating with Star Bright and wearing the clothes Tang Yue created, Xie Ni had been consistently complimented at every event.

Jin Yan’s anxious and regretful expression amused Xie Ni. With a smile, she said, "No rush, I’m here to taste Aunt Tang’s cooking today. You can buy a new notebook, and I’ll sign it for you later."

"Okay, okay," Jin Yan nodded fervently.

"Aunt Tang, I brought some small gifts for you, and also for Tang Yue and the two little ones," Xie Ni had brought quite a few goodies and had her manager hand them over.

Leading Xie Ni into the house, Tang Yue said, "You don’t have to bring gifts next time. You bring something every visit, and I’m starting to feel embarrassed."

The gifts Xie Ni brought weren’t expensive but were full of thought.

"It’s not right to come empty-handed. Aunt Tang, I really want your pickled pepper fish again," Xie Ni looked eagerly at Zhang Hualian.

During Tang Yue’s pregnancy, Xie Ni had visited the Tang Family a few times, always enjoying Zhang Hualian’s home-cooked meals, which suited Xie Ni’s taste perfectly.

"Alright,"

Zhang Hualian responded with a smile, heading to the kitchen to cook. Mo Xiaolin, as the mother-in-law, followed to lend a hand after the greetings were done since the two children had just fallen asleep and didn’t require their attention.

"Congratulations on winning all those awards," Tang Yue said with a smile. She had recognized Xie Ni not only because of her connection to Zhao Rou but also because of her promising career and potential. Moreover, Xie Ni’s personality remained approachable, never aloof despite her celebrity status.

"That’s thanks to you too," Xie Ni said happily, expressing her gratitude, "If it weren’t for you helping me reinvent my image, the company wouldn’t have taken notice."

This was truly from Xie Ni’s heart.

"By the way, I heard you had twins, where are they? Can I see them?" Xie Ni looked around but didn’t spot the newborns.
