"Oh, my dear Chenchen and Zaozao." Lian Qingyang squatted down, watching as Chenchen’s soft little body flew towards him, that adorable smile nearly melting him.
"Uncle."
Chenchen spread his arms wide and lunged into Lian Qingyang’s arms.
"Chenchen, slow down."
Lian Qingyang held Chenchen in his arms and, seeing Zaozao lagging behind, reached out and took both children into his embrace.
"Uncle." Unlike Chenchen’s coquettish voice, a hint of joy flickered in Zaozao’s eyes as she looked at Lian Qingyang.
Lian Qingyang lifted both children up, gave each a kiss on their beaming faces, and said, "Uncle brought you a beautiful doll."
"Uncle is the best." Without hesitation, Chenchen planted a big kiss on Lian Qingyang.
Even though Zaozao said nothing, the anticipation in her eyes was already impatiently apparent.
Lian Qingyang looked at Zaozao and leaned his face over. Zaozao, though a bit awkward, still gave him a peck.
"Zaozao, you have one too—your favorite toy gun."
As Lian Qingyang’s words fell, excitement danced in Zaozao’s eyes, she couldn’t wait to go home.
"Xiao Yang, don’t spoil them too much." Tang Yue watched him hold one in each arm, reaching out to intervene, said, "Come, let’s walk on our own."
"Sis, I’m their uncle. If I don’t spoil them, who will?" Lian Qingyang didn’t mind, holding onto the two children steadfastly.
"No, I want Uncle to hold me." Chenchen wrapped his small arms around Lian Qingyang’s neck, nestling his whole body in his embrace, his soft, sweet voice melting Lian Qingyang’s heart.
Zaozao’s eyes, bright and clear, rolled slightly, nimbly climbed down from Lian Qingyang, and said, "Uncle, I’m a boy, I’m a big boy, no need for holding."
"Alright, my little man." Lian Qingyang affectionately patted Zaozao’s head.
Tang Yue took Chenchen’s little hand and said, "Let’s go, we’re going home."
"Uncle, let’s go home quickly, I want to see the doll." Chenchen’s adorable voice urged.
The siblings took their children home, the kids’ laughter creating a warm and picturesque scene.
In the car not far away, Lian Qingqing, just returned from Sea City, took in the whole scene.
Others have nurturing mothers and filial children; they are caring sister and respectful brother, harmonious and friendly. Such scenes, which Lian Qingqing once didn’t care for, what’s the matter if she and Lian Qingyang didn’t get along?
Weren’t they twins tied together despite all?
But what about now?
She is no longer one of the Lian Family, no longer has anything to do with Lian Qingyang.
She and Lian Qingyang, from childhood to adulthood, competed for everything, never getting along, could it really be because of the lack of blood relation?
Lian Qingqing put on her sunglasses, hiding the envy in her eyes.
Why, why is her life so good?
Lian Qingqing’s expression turned cold.
"Drive."
Lian Qingqing withdrew her gaze, her face elegantly cold as she instructed Si Yu to start driving.
Jing City, D Jewelry Company, located in a bustling office building in Jing City, Lian Qingqing walked into the jewelry company, hearing everyone calling her Director Lian, and briskly walked into the exhibition room, looking at the dazzling jewelry, Lian Qingqing seemed to find her sense of existence.
Sun Rou sang along with the kids, surrounded by them, her face full of smiles and happiness.
Shen Yunfei accidentally drove by here, and through the iron fence, saw Sun Rou under the tree, instinctively hit the brakes.
An hour ago, she was on the phone saying she was at the company, how come this is here now?
On a closer look, Shen Yunfei knew who she was. This was the sister he had never met.
Having been with Lian Qingqing for so many years, he had seen all of her appearances, and she too smiled beautifully, but her smile wasn’t as pure as the woman in front of him.
At first glance, perhaps they looked similar, but upon closer inspection, one could distinctly tell them apart.
Shen Yunfei, unintentionally drawn, couldn’t move his feet away.
Sun Rou’s smile was pure and clean, as if she could forget all the unpleasant things.
Unbeknownst to him, Shen Yunfei stood there for a long time until Lian Qingqing called him. In 1997, there were mobile phones, and Shen Yunfei, not lacking money, naturally chose the latest model.
"Shen Yunfei, have you forgotten about me?" Lian Qingqing’s voice came through the phone, saying, "I’ve been waiting for you for half an hour!"
In fact, Lian Qingqing had just arrived; she was instantly displeased upon hearing Shen Yunfei wasn’t there.
"Ah..."
Shen Yunfei glanced at the time, sure enough, he was half an hour late.
"I’m coming right away."
Shen Yunfei’s gaze lingered on Sun Rou not far away, clearly seeing the same face, now hearing Lian Qingqing’s voice, he turned away, got into the car, and left.
If he wished, he could find out where she lived.
