The sky is fluttering with light snow. Zhang Guoqing looked up at the sky, wondering if his wife had returned home yet? Has his son eaten?
"Everyone, come in for the meeting."
A dozen people gathered together, speaking one after another.
Zhang Guoqing smiled silently, occasionally responding when questioned.
By mealtime, they finally took a break.
Yi Jiefang pulled Zhang Guoqing aside while avoiding the crowd, complaining, "What does that kid have to be smug about? Acting like it’s just his dad who’s impressive, what a thing!"
Zhang Guoqing glared at him.
"Alright, I’m just saying this to you."
Zhang Guoqing stopped walking, frowned, and said, "Don’t say it even to me in the future. Da Yi, buddy, here’s two words for you... Speak cautiously!"
Yi Jiefang smiled, dragging him forward, "Got it, don’t expose what you know."
Zhang Guoqing secretly sighed. This new wave of people coming in could either be big or small figures. He truly hoped his good buddies wouldn’t have conflicts with them.
Wan Dayong glanced back, noticing those two lagging behind, "Hurry up, you guys."
In the empty campus, a gust of the north wind froze everyone, making them shiver nonstop as a few people headed to the dining hall with their ceramic bowls, with hunched necks.
"With this cold weather in broad daylight, it’s bound to be colder at night. How about we squeeze together tonight?"
"Too cramped, can’t sleep."
"What about Xiao Wu?"
Zhang Guoqing shook his head. If there’s no matter tomorrow, he plans to go back tonight, even freezing to death just to cuddle with his wife.
Unfortunately, the wish wasn’t fulfilled as night brought two unexpected guests.
"Xiao Wu, I almost got left out in the wild, finally got to see you."
Zhang Guoqing looked shocked at Li Qinglin and Zhang Yuntao, "How did you two end up all the way from the south to the north?"
"It’s been so long since the three of us met, do you remember? I came first from the Northeast, waited the whole afternoon at the train station before seeing Lin Zi. Originally thought your school must not be far..."
Zhang Guoqing laughed heartily... It’s not far, all are in Beijing.
"I said let’s stay one night first, but he held onto me like burning fire wouldn’t let go." Li Qinglin glanced resentfully at Zhang Yuntao.
Zhang Guoqing quickly pulled the two inside, "Come in first. Fortunately, you arrived now, as I was just about to go home. Why didn’t you go to the house first? Coming here is inconvenient."
"It’s more than inconvenient. I even wondered if I went to the wrong place, asked several people in a row."
"Take a bite first, then we’ll head back to the city. The conditions here are just like this, we’ll make do."
In the upstairs dorm, Zhang Yuntao looked around for a while, "Is it just you and your wife living here? It’s much better than my school."
Zhang Guoqing quickly poured hot water, opened the stove, busy preparing some buns for them to fill their stomachs.
Li Qinglin drank a few sips of hot tea, finally regaining energy, and asked him, "Where’s Jiao Jiao? Why are you alone?"
"We’ve already had our holiday break; she went back today to stay with our son. Why did you think of coming here? You should wait for summer vacation to play. It’s not convenient to go anywhere in this cold weather."
Li Qinglin pointed at Zhang Yuntao.
Zhang Guoqing looked at him, "Taozi, this doesn’t seem like you. Last time I wrote to you, you said you were terribly busy." Then he suspiciously eyed him.
