Huo Jingrui drove Yunyi back to the Chu Family. "Yi’er," he said, "I’ve already arranged the donation you mentioned. I’ll come pick you up early tomorrow morning, and after we finish, we’ll head straight to the train station."

Yunyi had been so busy lately she had almost forgotten about it until he reminded her. "What time is our train?" she asked. "I haven’t withdrawn the money from the passbook yet."

Huo Jingrui got out of the car and opened the passenger door for her. "We originally planned to take the eight-thirty train tomorrow," he explained, "but since we have to handle the donation, I had them buy tickets for the eleven-thirty train instead."

Yunyi considered for a moment. There should be plenty of time. "Alright," she said, "then I’ll wait for you to pick me up."

Huo Jingrui closed the car door, took her hand, and they started walking toward the alley. "Sleep in a little tomorrow morning," he said. "I’ll come over, and we can have breakfast together, then handle our business. Get the things you want to take with you ready in advance; we’ll put them in the car tomorrow. After we’re done, we’ll go straight to the train station."

As they talked, they arrived at the front gate of the Chu Family. "I understand," Yunyi said. "I’ll be leaving tomorrow, so you should go back early and spend time with your family."

Huo Jingrui glanced around and, under the cover of night, pulled Yunyi into his embrace. "My fiancée is so thoughtful," he murmured.

Before Yunyi could retort, he kissed her forehead. "It’s cold," he said gently. "Go inside."

Yunyi didn’t linger, turning to push open the main gate. "Drive carefully on your way back," she said.

Watching Yunyi go inside, Huo Jingrui turned and left.

As soon as Yunyi entered the courtyard, Wei Hongjun and his wife emerged from their house. "Yunyi, you’re back?" one of them asked.

Yunyi looked at them. "Big Brother Wei, Sister-in-law," she greeted.

Cheng Lanlan asked, "Yunyi, I’ve prepared some food for you. What time is your train tomorrow?"

Yunyi hurriedly waved her hands in refusal. "Sister-in-law," she said, "I appreciate your kindness, but I won’t take the food. My fiancé will prepare some. My train is at eleven o’clock tomorrow."

She didn’t even have to think to know that guy would definitely find an opportunity to make a request.

She went into the warehouse and found a piece of woolen cloth suitable for making him clothes, deciding to hand-make a trench coat for him that would be perfect for wearing during the New Year.
