When Yunyi first arrived, she really didn’t know what the situation was, but if someone thought they could bully her, they were dead wrong. She boldly said, "Comrade, about why the house was allocated to me, this question should be directed to the comrade in charge of housing allocation."
As soon as Yunyi spoke, Gu Mifeng felt provoked by her: "What do you mean?"
Yunyi shrugged: "Just the literal meaning. I’ve just transferred here and haven’t reported for duty, so I don’t know about these things. Therefore, I have nothing to say. If you want to know why the house you wanted ended up with me, shouldn’t you ask the people who allocate housing?
Is what I said clear and understandable?"
Gu Mifeng reached out, wanting to push her, but Yunyi wasn’t about to let that happen. She sidestepped, causing Gu Mifeng to crash into the doorframe, instantly reddening her forehead.
Speaking of Gu Mifeng, she wasn’t much to look at and her character wasn’t great, but she had nice skin, which somewhat made up for her average appearance.
Gu Mifeng didn’t expect Yunyi to dodge: "Ah, my face, how dare you dodge? Looks like you don’t want to stay here."
Yunyi crossed her arms and said provocatively, "Then why are you dawdling? Hurry up and get someone to remove me from my job. It’s just as well I haven’t officially started yet."
Gu Mifeng pointed at Yunyi: "You, you, you just wait."
With that, she was about to head downstairs.
Just as she turned, Huo Jingrui’s voice came through: "Who are you telling to wait?"
Yunyi leaned against the door with a look of amusement.
Huo Jingrui walked quickly towards Yunyi, giving her a once-over: "Are you hurt anywhere?"
Yunyi lightly patted his arm: "I wasn’t about to stand there and let her push me."
Gu Mifeng didn’t expect this woman to dare slap her in front of so many people, and she planned to capitalize on it: "Oh, everyone come see, she hasn’t even completed her employment paperwork and dares to hit people."
Yunyi despised people like this the most: "Jingrui, go report this. This isn’t over today."
Upon hearing this, Gu Mifeng didn’t bother with insults anymore: "You’d report over something this small, you want to call the police? Are you trying to ruin me?"
Huo Jingrui didn’t care what this Gu woman said, coldly responding, "If you dare to do it, you must dare to bear the consequences."
Finishing, his eyes full of disdain, he turned to a young person following him upstairs: "Could you please go to the police station for me?"
Yi’er was new here, and Gu Mifeng was a good target to establish authority, to prevent any random people from causing trouble.
