Jiang Rufang and Zhang Xiaolu come from the same town, so they maintain a polite but not too close relationship as old acquaintances.
Later, Zhang Xiaolu couldn’t stand the ridicule and sarcasm from everyone. Not long after, she pulled some strings and transferred out of the cultural troupe to work at the Housing Authority, which was quite an achievement.
Now, Jiang Jingya has become the Regimental Commander of the cultural troupe, Jiang Rufang is in charge of the dance team, and Qiao Yulan is responsible for the singing team. Ever since Zhang Xiaolu left, the three of them returned to their previous relationship.
It hasn’t changed over all these years.
Qiao Yulan noticed that Jiang Rufang was still playing coy: "Just say it directly, why make us guess?"
Jiang Rufang pinched her earlobe, a habit she resorts to whenever she feels guilty.
Jiang Jingya and Qiao Yulan naturally noticed this.
Qiao Yulan knew what she was thinking: "Alright, stop keeping us in suspense, let me tell you the truth, Jingya and I ran into Zhang Xiaolu on our way back. For some crazy reason, she was lying in the middle of the road."
Jiang Rufang was stunned: "She wouldn’t do anything rash, would she?"
Qiao Yulan rolled her eyes: "Why don’t you tell us what happened?"
Jiang Rufang then recounted everything that happened at the wedding feast, word for word: "That’s what happened?"
Qiao Yulan slapped the table and stood up: "Zhang Xiaolu schemed for so long, and this is the result? I actually feel a bit sorry for her son, is she even a real mother?"
