Qiao Wenyu and Zheng Xuewen dared not stay here any longer; they quickly slipped away.
Leaving Wei Zijia and Ye Wenhui to burst into laughter again.
Yunyi and Huo Jingrui naturally heard the laughter: "I guess those two went to impress."
Huo Jingrui, however, pulled her into his arms: "Don’t get distracted."
Yunyi looked at Huo Jingrui’s domineering attitude and inexplicably thought about his past: "Jingrui, have you gotten used to these years?"
With their three lives of fate, Huo Jingrui understood Yunyi completely and naturally grasped her meaning; "As long as I’m with you, it doesn’t matter where I am. Even without a prominent status, I can still protect you."
Yunyi reached out and hugged Jingrui’s neck: "Jingrui, how fortunate I am to have met you."
The two of them quietly embraced, their thoughts drifting back to the scene when they first met: "Yi’er, thank you for never abandoning me, no matter the changes in time and space."
Yunyi listened to his powerful heartbeat: "With Jingrui, I have everything I need."
Indeed, if the two hadn’t chosen to live an ordinary life in this lifetime, given their abilities, they could have stirred up storms long ago.
With outsiders staying over and exams approaching, Huo Jingrui worked to suppress his longing: "Yi’er, let’s rest too. After the college entrance exams, you must make it up to me."
Yunyi looked up, pouted, and glared at him. Before she could speak, Huo Jingrui sealed her lips.
After a passionate kiss, Huo Jingrui breathed heavily and said: "Yi’er, you know how tempting you are. If it weren’t for the circumstances, I’d want to devour you right now."
Saying this, he pinched Yunyi’s nose: "You little tease."
Qiao Wenyu then quieted down; he knew his mom wasn’t really against Wei Zijia but disliked his stepfather’s family. Although his stepfather and stepbrother were okay, his stepsister and troublemaking relatives were a different story.
Qiao Wenyu’s mom was naturally worried about the constant trouble in the future, hence her opposing them dating.
He scratched his head: "Big Brother Huo, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have spoken about my mom like that. I know she did it all for me. But Zijia is Zijia, she’s different from that family.
At the time, a lot of it was out of spite, which led me to act impulsively. But I don’t regret coming with Zijia; at least I showed my mom my determination."
Huo Jingrui glanced at him: "Alright, stop flattering yourself. With your determination, if your mom truly wanted to separate you, do you think you could’ve reached here? She would’ve sent you thousands of miles away, making you regret it."
These words left Qiao Wenyu stunned; he hadn’t considered this angle and involuntarily slapped himself.
