Huo Jingrui and Yunyi didn’t visit the Zeng Family empty-handed. Yunyi took a linden tree branch from her space, personally carved a box, and placed a thirty-year-old ginseng inside as a birthday gift for Old Lady Zeng.
By the time they arrived, there were already quite a few guests at the Zeng Family residence.
As soon as they got off the car, someone came over to greet them: "Mr. Huo, Mrs. Huo, please follow me. Our old lady has been waiting for quite some time."
Yunyi frowned slightly at the person in front of her but thought it through and felt at ease. Since she and Jingrui were married, the form of address wasn’t incorrect.
The couple followed the person and walked inside.
Along the way, they naturally encountered many acquaintances, and Huo Jingrui nodded in acknowledgement to each of them.
A number of guests were gathered in the main hall in front of Old Master Zeng and Old Lady Zeng.
The person leading the way stepped forward and said, "Old Master, Old Lady, Mr. Huo and Mrs. Huo have arrived."
Upon hearing this, the eyes of the two elders immediately brightened: "Where are they?"
The person glanced toward where Huo Jingrui and Yunyi were standing.
Huo Jingrui and Yunyi stepped forward: "Greetings, Old Master Zeng and Old Lady Zeng."
Old Master Zeng looked at the two in front of him and smiled, his face creasing: "Good, good, come and sit down."
As soon as he spoke, the people gathered around naturally made space for them.
Old Lady Zeng got up and took Yunyi’s hand: "Are you Chuyunyi?"
Yunyi nodded gently: "Yes."
The old lady gratefully said: "Yunyi, may I call you that?"
Yunyi smiled and nodded: "Of course you can."
