Chapter 687 Race for the Ember Sacred Sword
Every tree and plane on the mountainside had been burned away.
The terrifying heat was so intense that even the Divine Kings felt uneasy.
At that moment, everyone realized what was happening.
Darby roared and completely abandoned his fight with Steven. He charged straight toward the sea of flames covering Heavenspire Peak.
The Ember Sacred Sword!
It’s the Ember Sacred Sword!
Darby had always believed the sword would appear at Dawncrest. He never imagined it would show up here at Heavenspire Peak instead.
It had finally appeared! This was his chance to become a Divine Eternal!
I have to get it!
I have to!
It belongs to me!
Darby’s eyes burned with greed and madness.
No one would stop him from taking that sword.
Once he had it, he would have a chance to become a Divine Eternal and stand above everyone else in the world!
Down below, everyone finally understood what was happening.
“It’s the Ember Sacred Sword! Hurry!”
Everyone snapped out of their shock. Excitement quickly turned into madness.
Even the beasts surrounding the Eightfold Domain began to scatter and race toward Heavenspire Peak.
The God Eaters had already abandoned the battlefield and were charging up the mountain.
Cayden shouted, “Alan! Drop the barrier! Now! Hurry up!”
Cayden could barely contain himself.
For an opportunity like this, he was willing to risk his life.
Alan narrowed his eyes.
Then he withdrew the Eightfold Domain. The eight pillars vanished back into his spatial converter.
Cayden immediately led the Celestial Army up the mountain at full speed.
No one could remain calm when becoming Divine Eternal was within reach.
“So it really appeared…” Alan murmured.
Steven narrowed his eyes.
Logan swallowed hard. “Mr. Fisher, what do we do?”
Steven looked at them.
“We’re going. We have to get it. You two be careful. I’ll take Bianca ahead.”
Steven grabbed Bianca and exploded forward at supersonic speed, disappearing from Alan’s sight in an
instant.
Alan narrowed his eyes.
“Let’s go!”
However, he didn’t head straight for Heavenspire Peak.
Instead, he rushed toward Soulreaver.
After saying a few words to William and James, Alan turned and charged up Heavenspire Peak.
William looked at his wounded teammates, struggling with the decision.
But Alan was right. They couldn’t fight for something like this. This was their chance to escape.
“We’re leaving! Move!”
