Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 132

They couldn't read Madam Amber's silence. The tension in the room grew thicker by the second.

After a long pause, Amber extended a hand toward Emily. "Come here, child. Let me get a good look at you."

Emily froze for a moment before Melissa signaled her with a sharp look to move.

Amber took Emily's hand, looking her up and down appraisingly. "You really are a good child. You were the one who suffered, and you were the one meant for Dylan. Yet now, Elena is the one enjoying everything."

Emily was ecstatic to hear Madam Amber taking her side. Her filter vanished immediately. "Exactly! That bitch Elena doesn't deserve any of it. She stole my life, and now she wants to steal my fiancé! It's disgusting!"

Melissa frantically signaled for her to shut up.

Amber, however, smiled faintly. "It's fine. I like a girl who speaks her mind. Honesty is a virtue. However, Dylan has already set his sights on Elena. As a mother, my hands are tied. But... if you can make Dylan change his mind and accept you, I wouldn't object. Emily is quite charming, after all."

Melissa and Thomas were overjoyed. They had secured the mother's support! The couple stood up and bowed respectfully.

"Thank you for your understanding, Madam Amber. Truth be told, it's our fault for not raising Elena better. She's always been rebellious, disobedient, and rude to her elders. She has no manners and, frankly, no redeeming qualities. We can't control her. Please forgive any offense she may have caused."

The implication was clear: degrade Elena to make Emily look better by comparison. Given Elena's previous clashes with the family, this would only deepen the dislike.

"Very well. You may go now," Amber dismissed them. She understood the Sterlings' motives perfectly and had no interest in small talk.

After the Sterlings left, Amber's maid, Mira, spoke up. "Madam, do you really want the Sterling girl to marry Master Dylan? The Sterlings don't seem like good people. And that Emily... her scandal with the Holt family was all over the news. Do they think we don't watch TV? She's already been married, yet she's eyeing the Sinclair family. They're just greedy."

Amber took a calm sip of her tea. "If even you can see that, do you think I can't? Of course they're greedy."

"Then why did you agree..."

"He insists on coming. It's annoying," Elena replied. She was used to being independent. Aside from Theresa, she had no real friends. Her classmates found her aloof and solitary, which was why Bianca hated her—she thought Elena was just pretending to be cool.

"I think Dylan is solid. You saved his life, after all. He owes you a lifetime of devotion!" Theresa felt Elena needed someone. She was always so alone.

"Hah! You have no idea how complicated the Sinclair family is," Elena shook her head.

"Rich families are always like that. I heard his father had three wives or something. But you're not exactly a pushover! Hehe!" Theresa laughed.

Elena was about to tell her what happened at the Sinclair estate when her phone vibrated. She picked it up.

"Is this Miss Elena? Your brother, Jon Whelan, got into a fight at our restaurant. He's being beaten half to death. You need to come quickly!"
