Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 190

It felt like a cat scratching at his heart.

Cathy smiled smugly, looking confident. "Nick, remember my old friend from college, Nancy Vale? We were pretty close. Last year, I saw on social media that she went to work at Aurelis Holdings Group, and she has a pretty high position. If I contact her, I think we can make this happen!"

Hearing this, Edward said, "Cathy, then I'll leave this to you. You must secure the partnership before they do."

"Don't worry, Dad. I won't let you down."

Cathy felt sure she would crush her uncle's family this time. She thought of Ralph and decided to ask him for help. Her brother wasn't as smart as she was, so he was useless. Ralph always had ideas.

When she called, Ralph didn't answer. A hospital staff member picked up, saying Ralph was hospitalized and asking her to come.

Cathy thought he was sick, so she went to the hospital. When she saw the gaunt face in the bed, she couldn't believe it was Ralph. He lay motionless, only able to move his head. It looked eerie.

"Cathy, you finally came to see me," Ralph said weakly. He looked drained, his eyes sunken.

"Ralph, what happened? You were fine a few days ago. How did you end up like this?" Cathy asked.

Cathy looked at his broken state with disgust. "Ralph, we already broke up. I have nothing to do with you."

"What are you saying... Cathy, I did everything for you. How can you be like this?" Ralph thought Cathy wouldn't abandon him. But seeing him paralyzed, her face changed instantly.

Cathy laughed. "Ralph, even if you did things for me, so what? Look at yourself. Your hands and feet are useless. Your bones are shattered. You'll be in bed for the rest of your life, a cripple. I have a bright future ahead of me. Why would I stay with you?"

"Cathy... don't leave me... don't! I love you! No one loves you more than I do! Cathy!" Ralph cried.
