Max had looked down on her from the start, and now he despised her even more.
Especially after the Sterling family's downfall, he felt she was bad luck.
Originally, he could have married Elena; the one he liked in his heart was Elena.
But then the Sterling family had to create that drama with the real and fake daughters, letting Emily take her place.
He had always been resentful about it.
"Max, at least we had something once. For the sake of the child I carried for you, don't drive me away..."
"Get out!" Max roared.
A sexy woman with long hair walked over. Seeing Max, she gave him a seductive smile.
"Mr. Holt, who is this?"
"Just a mad dog! Let's go!" Max put his arm around the long-haired beauty and walked away.
Emily stood frozen in place, clenching her fists.
Max, you scumbag!
You don't care about our past at all!
Suddenly, it started to rain.
Emily stood in the rain, looking utterly desolate.
She was the real daughter; why had she fallen to this state?
The rain soaked her completely.
With nowhere to go, she called Melissa, wanting to ask for some money.
"Emily, I don't have any money right now. Your father was so angry at you that he's hospitalized again. He has heart problems, it's very serious. Don't come back and agitated him for a while. Take care of yourself out there!"
After speaking, Melissa hung up.
Emily felt even colder.
A car sped past her, splashing muddy water all over her face.
Losing her balance, she fell to the ground.
*Sob, sob, sob!*
Emily was a mess, but she clenched her fists, her eyes revealing a look of resilience and ruthlessness.
"I won't be defeated like this! I won't! Absolutely not!"
"I'm a survivor!"
"The worse it gets, the more I have to live a good life!"
Elena couldn't be bothered to respond and went straight to her seat.
"I bet not. What kind of flowers could a delivery guy afford?" another chimed in.
Michelle saw this and got angry.
She immediately stood up for Elena. "Stop talking nonsense. Elena ignoring you means she doesn't care to lower herself to your level, yet you all just push your luck!"
"Besides, if our Elena wanted to, she'd be buried in flowers. Didn't that school hunk pursue our Elena before? It's just that Elena didn't want to give him the time of day, so someone else picked up the leftovers."
Hearing this, Bianca's face changed drastically.
Michelle was mocking her!
Because the senior who gave her flowers had indeed pursued Elena before.
But Elena ignored him, so it ended!
Bianca instantly felt the flowers in her hand were no longer fragrant.
"Michelle, you're really good at being a suck-up. Impressive!" Bianca said angrily.
"I'm not a suck-up, I'm just telling the truth!"
Michelle really didn't think she was sucking up.
Just then, a delivery runner came in.
