Dylan sighed heavily.
He got up, buckled his belt, and buttoned his shirt, returning to his usual serious demeanor.
"Drive!" he barked.
There was an edge to his voice, as if he were venting some pent-up frustration.
Just great.
His Elena had certainly learned a few tricks—tease him and then run away.
Fortunately, he had decent self-control. Otherwise, he couldn't guarantee what might have happened in the car tonight.
Right now, his body felt like there was a fire burning inside it.
It was excruciating.
When he returned to the Sinclair estate, he turned on the cold water and took a freezing shower. Only then did the heat subside.

The next day was the weekend.
Elena woke up early and heard Daniel say that his mother had summoned them to the old family estate.
The whole family was expected to attend.
"There won't be any trouble this time, will there?" Amanda asked worriedly.
She was genuinely afraid now.
Last time, Chris had beaten up Lucas Maddox. Although the Maddox family had been too busy dealing with their own scandals to retaliate against the Whelans, she didn't know if they had truly decided to let it go.
"Let's just go and see. Maybe it's just a routine family dinner. We are family, after all. We should gather occasionally," Daniel said.
The family got ready to head over.
"Where is Ben? Isn't he coming?" Elena asked.
"Elena, didn't you know? Ben went on a date! He's been seeing that girl, Chloe, for the past few days," Claire explained.
"Alright, it's probably better if he doesn't come."
It would save him from the judgmental looks of the relatives in the Second and Third Branches, who looked at him as if he were a fool.
They never thought he was normal.
Elena fell silent.
Jane looked demure as she was praised.
Her father, Gavin, was overjoyed.
"Mom, Jane is usually very quiet. It wasn't really a big deal, but now the whole family knows!"
He was feigning modesty.
Anyone with eyes could see that Gavin wanted the whole world to know.
If he could, he would probably throw a massive banquet.
"Oh my, congratulations to Jane! She was studying piano before, so I thought she was going to pursue the arts. I didn't expect her to become a secretary instead!" Maggie Whelan from the Second Branch said with a hint of sarcasm.
"Maggie, Jane hasn't dropped her piano studies; she passed her exams. Now that she's entered Aurelis Holdings, our family will have connections there in the future. Mom, don't you agree?" Jane's mother, Lauren, said.
She asked for the old lady's validation, looking for backup.
The matriarch was naturally delighted. "Of course. Jane has a bright future! You have to understand, to work at Aurelis Holdings, they won't take you if you don't have the ability or the experience! But our Jane, through her own hard work, beat out so many competitors to get this position. It just goes to show that Jane is a very capable person!"
