Elena was speechless.
"Boss, don't look at me like that. I really only held back out of respect for you, and because she took care of me before. Don't worry, I won't hurt her."
Elena patted him on the shoulder. "As long as you know your limits."
After giving her instructions, Elena left with Michelle.
Seeing that Michelle remained silent, Elena asked, "Michelle, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I just feel like... Tyler seems like a completely different person when he's in front of you."
"So that's what this is about. I practically raised him, so he relies on me. But you... do you really like him?"
"Yeah." Michelle nodded. "But he seems so cold to me."
"Michelle, I have to warn you. That kid Tyler isn't worth it. He lives a dangerous life, living on the edge. He's not suitable for you. You won't be happy following him, and he can't provide you with anything."
"I don't want anything from him! Even if he lives on the edge, I'll live on the edge with him."
Elena shook her head. Michelle was truly a hopeless romantic.
When Elena returned home, Amanda and the others were there, but her older brother was nowhere to be seen.
"Huh? Where's Ben? hasn't he gotten off work yet?" Elena asked.
Claire spoke up. "He went out to hang out with Jones."
Elena didn't think much of it. She looked at Claire. "Claire, how are you holding up?"
"I'm fine, Elena. Don't worry about me!"
Amanda sighed. "Today, that Justin waited at the door all day again. I finally had to send him away!"
Daniel chimed in, "Claire, if you really like Justin, Dad will agree to your grandmother's terms and get you engaged by the end of next month!"
"There's no need. I've already decided to give up. I know perfectly well that Justin's parents only changed their attitude toward our family because of the Sinclair family connections. I'd rather not deal with in-laws like that!"
One by one, they started chanting, "Sing one! Sing one! Sing one!"
Ben smiled simply and took the microphone. "Alright then, I'll sing a little. It's been a long time since I sang."
Ben held the mic and immediately started belting out a tune.
He sang completely off-key, roaring out the lyrics to a popular radio hit with zero rhythm but plenty of enthusiasm.
When the song ended, the people around him immediately clapped and cheered.
"Thank you, everyone!" Ben bowed clumsily.
"Ben, don't be like that. They're just sucking up to you! Why are you being so polite?" Jones whispered to him.
"Sucking up? Why would they suck up to me?"
"Because your dad is the General Manager. He runs the whole electronics factory, so of course they want to get on your good side!"
