Everyone looked at her.
"Theresa, you lost your proposal?"
"Theresa, I didn't take it. I haven't even seen it!"
"Me neither. I haven't been near your desk today."
Everyone stated their innocence.
Rachel Ward urged, "Theresa Graham, the meeting is starting. The executives are here. Get in there!"
"Ms. Ward, but someone took my proposal!"
Rachel said, "How can you be so careless? The meeting is starting right now. If you can't produce it, you're done!"
Charles walked over, gloating. "Yeah, you're done. How could you lose such an important thing? I bet you just misplaced it somewhere. You're totally irresponsible!"
After saying their piece, they went into the conference room with schadenfreude, waiting for Theresa to embarrass herself.
Watching them leave, Theresa opened a nearby cabinet and took out another copy of the proposal.
Thankfully, Elena had been thorough. Elena had said that since people in the company were targeting her, there would surely be other tricks.
For such an important proposal, someone might try to sabotage it.
She'd better print a copy and hide it nearby, just in case.
Sure enough, something went wrong!
The meeting began, and Theresa walked in confidently.
Charles was still waiting for the show.
Instead, she pulled out her proposal and handed a copy to everyone.
She spoke with confidence and eloquence, surprising everyone in the room.
Didn't she say it was lost?
"Executives, what I have to say concerns a certain employee in this company. Originally, I placed this plan in my drawer, but someone tried to sabotage the meeting by stealing my proposal and deleting the backup on my computer! Now, I have caught this person!"
Everyone was shocked.
Theresa pressed play, and a surveillance video appeared on the screen.
It showed the time when Theresa was away from her desk and everyone else was busy with their work.
That was when Charles walked over, checking his surroundings carefully.
Since Theresa's nearby colleagues were away and those further off were busy, no one noticed Charles.
Charles quietly crouched down, opened the drawer, and took Theresa's proposal.
Then he opened her computer and wiped the backup files.
After finishing, he walked away as if nothing had happened.
"Leaders, you saw it. For the company to have such a disgrace who would use these underhanded tactics in a professional setting for a personal grudge... I believe that if such a person stays, there's no guarantee he won't betray the company for personal gain in the future! I ask the leadership to give me justice!"
