Was she joking?
How could she possibly fire the real boss?
The entire LUMEN Studio belonged to her.
"Understood, Ma'am," Elaine said, lowering her head.
She didn't bother to analyze Sienna's words, her judgment completely clouded by jealousy.
She felt Sienna was simply playing favorites. Sienna always favored Claire's designs, and now she was even keeping Claire's family around at LUMEN Studio.
That last sentence had stung the most.
Even if you quit, she stays.
So, given the choice between a top-tier designer and a lowly intern, Sienna would actually choose the intern.
It was incredibly disappointing.
The thought only fueled her hatred for Elena.
Meanwhile.
Elena had taken Ethan aside to check on his injuries and bandage him up.
He didn't have any serious wounds; he had probably just taken a few rough hits.
The blows had landed on his body, not his face. He had covered his head with his arms while getting beaten, saving his face from any damage.
"Didn't I tell you not to run off? Why did you wander away? You caused a massive scene."
Elena wiped his face gently with a tissue as she scolded him.
Ethan pouted. "Elena, I was looking for you. I needed to pee, and I heard someone say the bathroom was over there, so I went. But as soon as I went in and tried to pull my pants down, they started yelling and called people to hit me. I don't know why..." He trailed off into a fresh wave of tears.
As he spoke, the guy started crying again.
Elena was completely speechless.
A grown man barging into the women's restroom and pulling his pants down—of course they thought he was a creep!
"Alright, stop crying! You're a grown man, dry your tears!"
Ever since stepping through the door, Ethan had been looking around wide-eyed, picking up random objects off the table and playing with them like a toddler.
"Mom, Dad, he has a cognitive disability. He was in a car accident, and now his mental capacity is that of a three-year-old, so he needs constant supervision."
Hearing this, Amanda's maternal instincts immediately kicked in.
It likely reminded her of her own son, Ben, who also suffered from a cognitive impairment due to an accident.
"Oh, the poor thing!"
Ethan's condition seemed even more severe than Ben's.
That evening, Amanda cooked a massive feast to welcome their guest.
"Ethan, eat up! Try some of this!" Amanda said, placing a generous portion of food into his bowl.
Ethan gave a goofy smile. "Thank you! This is so yummy, I love it."
"If you like it, have some more! Amanda made all of this. If you want anything else, just let us know!" Daniel chimed in, also taking special care of him.
"It's already late. With so many people in the Sinclair family, is no one looking after him?" her second brother, Chris, asked in confusion.
