Dylan understood Xavier's personality all too well.
The man was an absolute control freak.
Moreover, Dylan knew that Xavier was entirely unreliable. The only person he truly cared about was Damian Sinclair; eventually, Dylan was fully expecting to be tossed aside.
The only reason Xavier had treated him relatively well in the past was because he valued Dylan's capabilities and wanted to use him as a tool.
But during those years of being used, Dylan had also quietly leveraged the resources of the Sinclair Group to secure plenty of benefits for himself, so he considered them even.
Xavier could never find out about the overseas companies he and George had built. This was his ultimate trump card.
He could easily stomach losing his position and authority within the Sinclair family, but he couldn't afford to lose those overseas assets.
Without them, how was he supposed to guarantee Elena the bright future she deserved?
"Alright, I've signed everything you need. Take them, and stop bothering me unless it's important!"
"Just look at you. You walked in here looking incredibly smug and thoroughly satisfied. Don't tell me you finally sealed the deal with Miss Whelan last night?"
Dylan frowned. Was he really being that obvious?
George had seen right through him instantly.
"It's a miracle. After twenty-some years, the iceberg finally melts. Congrats on joining the rest of the human race in the bedroom."
Dylan shot him a lethal glare and forcefully tossed the heavy stack of folders right at his chest.
George grunted as the files hit him. Just as he was about to accuse Dylan of flying into a rage from embarrassment, Dylan had already stepped out of the car.
He was left staring at Dylan's retreating back.
"Men in love are absolutely terrifying," George muttered, rolling his eyes as he straightened his suit.

Meanwhile, Elena arrived at the studio. After the dramatic events of the previous day, the rest of the staff actively kept their distance from her.
No one dared to whisper a single bad word about her or Claire anymore.
"Are you actually working today, or are you just out here flirting?"
"I'm working, obviously. But is it a crime to drop by and see you?"
"Alright, enough. Hurry up and leave. If anyone sees us, they'll think this delivery guy is way too dramatic!"
Elena had already noticed that several people in the office were casting curious glances in their direction.
"Alright, I'm going! Take your time eating! Have a great meal!" Dylan flashed Elena one last look before turning and striding out.
Watching the interaction, Elaine let out a disdainful sneer. "Hmph! She can't even keep her hands off a lowly delivery boy. Absolutely pathetic!"
Nicole Evans couldn't help but whisper, "I have to admit, that delivery guy was seriously gorgeous. Is the job market really that competitive now? Even the delivery drivers look like models."
"I know, right? I noticed that too. I wonder what his name is. Next time I order takeout, I'm definitely going to request him specifically."
A few of the more starry-eyed female colleagues giggled quietly amongst themselves.
One of them suddenly pointed out, "Did anyone else notice something? That delivery guy looked an awful lot like the CEO of the Sinclair Group."
