Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 727

Theresa felt the bullet whiz inches from her ear, the deafening crack ringing in her skull.

Soaking wet and shivering uncontrollably, she was paralyzed with terror.

Out of the four who had jumped, three had been dragged back aboard.

The last man was still swimming frantically toward freedom.

One of the guards leveled his rifle, took careful aim, and fired.

*Bang!*

The man's body jerked before going entirely still, floating face-down as the surrounding water rapidly turned crimson.

Theresa and the other two captives shrieked, huddling together and shaking violently on the deck.

Scar marched over and viciously kicked each of them.

"Listen up, you pieces of shit! You try to run again, and that's your future!"

After witnessing the brutal execution, no one dared to move a muscle.

The boat soon reached the shores of Myantara. A transport vehicle was waiting for them, and they were brutally shoved inside.

The van eventually rolled into The Compound.

Theresa stared out the window at the towering concrete walls topped with razor wire. Escaping this fortress would be harder than climbing to heaven.

A crushing wave of despair hit her. Did her family even know she was missing?

Was anyone looking for her?

Once unloaded, they were herded into a sprawling warehouse.

Dozens of computers lined the rows of desks. Hundreds of people, exactly like them, sat glued to their monitors, making endless phone calls and typing furiously.

So she really had been sold into a scam syndicate.

"Keep moving!" a guard roared, jabbing his rifle into their backs.

The workers barely flinched. They continued their rapid-fire calls, looking like they were fueled by pure adrenaline.

They didn't even glance at the new arrivals. They were completely desensitized to it all.

They were led past the main floor into a separate office.

A man wearing a sharp suit and wire-rimmed glasses stood waiting for them.

The sounds hit them first—blood-curdling screams echoing down the corridor.

Inside, naked men and women were chained up and being savagely beaten. The metallic stench of blood in the air was suffocating.

To Theresa, this was hell on earth.

She was a sheltered heiress; she had never witnessed such barbaric cruelty. She squeezed her eyes shut, unable to bear the sight.

Her two companions were trembling so hard they could barely stand.

The endless symphony of agonizing screams shattered whatever resolve they had left.

The guards smirked, highly amused by their sheer terror.

"Take a good look. This is what happens when you refuse to work. And this is what happens when you don't hit your quota. If you don't cooperate, you'll be brought right here!"

After the horrifying tour, the guards locked them in a cramped, windowless room.

The other two captives immediately grabbed their scripts and began memorizing them in a panic.

Theresa couldn't even look at the fraudulent manuals. She just sat there, utterly consumed by a suffocating sense of helplessness.
