Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 734

The victims weren't allowed to make a sound. If they cried out, the beatings only intensified.

There were around thirty people in this block. Elena scanned the bruised faces again, but Theresa was nowhere to be found.

She had to be locked up somewhere else.

A dozen heavily armed guards stood watch with submachine guns. Nobody dared to breathe out of line.

Once Manager Woods finished his speech, the prisoners were forced to scream their morning chants.

"Want success? Go crazy first!"

"Want success? Go crazy first!"

They shouted with such feverish intensity, it looked like they were prepping for war.

After assembly, the veterans shuffled off to their workstations to start scamming. Breakfast wasn't an option.

"You five, with me," a guard ordered, pointing at Elena and a few other fresh arrivals.

They were the newcomers, yet to undergo their 'orientation.'

The five of them were marched into a sleek office.

They were each handed a thick binder filled with psychological manipulation tactics and scam scripts.

"This is your new job. Memorize it. Don't even think about running. The only way you leave this place is if you hit your quotas and pay off your debt to the company!"

Hearing the word 'leave,' the man standing next to Elena piped up. "Are you serious? We can actually leave?"

"Of course. We're businessmen, and we honor our deals. But first, you have to hit your targets and clear your debt."

"How much do we owe?" the man asked.

Manager Woods sneered. "Currently, each of you is in the hole for one million dollars."

Even Elena blinked at that. Slapping a million-dollar debt on them the second they walked through the door—these people were ruthless.

The man looked bewildered. "How is that possible? We just got here. How could we owe the company that much?"

They were escorted to the Punishment Hall. Long before they even reached the door, bloodcurdling screams echoed through the corridor.

Stepping inside, they saw a brutal beating in progress.

The man who had just spoken up was now drenched in blood, writhing on the floor and begging for mercy.

"I'm sorry! I won't do it again! Please let me go! I swear I won't say another word!"

His pleas fell on deaf ears. The guards kept swinging.

Glancing around the grim room, Elena spotted Emily. She was here too.

Emily had likely missed her quota. She was curled into a bloody, shivering ball in the corner.

The sheltered young girls in Elena's group were hyperventilating, completely traumatized by the carnage.

Elena, however, watched the violence with absolute, chilling composure.
