Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 881

Taking a step back, even if Victor refused to accept him, and even if Theresa vehemently resisted, it didn't matter. He could use the opportunity to extort a massive sum of money, ensuring he would never have to worry about the rest of his life.

If they refused, he would simply leak the scandal of Theresa being compromised to the press.

Easily evading the estate's patrolling security, Charles slipped right into Theresa's room.

Theresa was fast asleep, completely unaware of the intruder in her sanctuary.

Charles quietly eased the door open. Theresa never had the habit of locking her bedroom door in her own home.

That small oversight gave Charles the perfect opening.

Bathed in the faint moonlight spilling through the window, Charles stared at the woman in the bed, an unbearable itch of lust scratching at his mind.

Every time he saw Theresa, an overwhelming wave of regret washed over him.

He never should have given up on her. If he had just been persistent, he definitely could have won her over. Then he wouldn't have had to jump through all these exhausting hoops.

Theresa was wrapped in a pleasant dream. She had enjoyed a wonderful dinner with her parents, and everything at the company was running smoothly.

Her troublesome uncles had been handled by her father, and no one dared to trip her up anymore.

But right at that moment, she suddenly felt a heavy weight pressing down on her. Hands were tugging at her clothes, roaming over her body.

She woke up with a violently start.

Even in the dark, the looming silhouette above her made her blood run cold, and she let out a terrified scream.

But before the sound could escape her throat, Charles clamped a harsh hand over her mouth.

"Shh. Don't scream, or I won't hold back!" Charles warned in a harsh whisper.

Hearing the voice, Theresa immediately realized the man pinning her was Charles.

She couldn't fathom how he had managed to bypass the estate's notoriously strict security to get into her room.

"Mmph... let go!" she muffled against his palm.

Feeling the icy steel against her skin, Theresa didn't dare make a sound, terrified he might accidentally slice her neck.

"Charles, what do you actually want? If you want money, I can give it to you!"

"No! I want you!"

Theresa stared at him, utterly repulsed.

Just as she had always suspected, the man was boundlessly despicable.

"Theresa, I've thought about you day and night. You're the one I like. You're the one I love. Can't you see my heart? I know I treated you poorly before, but Lorna put me up to it. Deep down, you're the only one for me. As long as you're willing to be with me, I swear I'll treat you well."

Hearing his twisted confession made Theresa want to throw up.

This delusional bastard was really out of his mind.

"Charles, I understand how you feel now. Since that's the case, I'll think it over carefully. But it's very late, and I want to sleep. Why don't you leave for now, and we can set up a place to talk properly tomorrow?"
