Lily had never experienced something like getting her underwear stolen. It left her so distraught that she had no appetite for a few days.
When it happened, Lily furiously ripped into Hayden, unleashing a torrent of insults.
However, Hayden was utterly confused and felt deeply wronged. He had no idea why he was being reprimanded so harshly.
Seeing Lily in such a fit of rage, he began to wonder if he had indeed done something wrong.
From then on, Lily stopped using the washing machine at home, opting instead to take her laundry to a laundromat.
"What? There's no way Hayden would do something like that!"
Julia and Anna were shocked, their eyes wide with disbelief. Something like that was just too outrageous for them to process.
"Why not? That's exactly the kind of person he is! That disgusting monster!" Lily lashed out again.
"But you're his sister. No matter how despicable he is, it's unlikely he would take your clothes…" Julia muttered softly, biting her lip.
Even she felt uncertain.
"That's right. Even if we ignored him over the years, it shouldn't make his personality that twisted!" Anna said, looking conflicted.
However, they had all gone through puberty and knew full well how teenagers could have strange thoughts, especially when fueled by the curiosity of the opposite gender, and the occasional impulsiveness.
However, that shouldn't be the case between siblings, right?
"What? It wasn't him? You want to find the true culprit? Mom, who else can it be in our household? Apart from him, Morgan and Dad are the only men in the house!" Lily huffed furiously.
In her heart, there was no way her father would do this. Meanwhile, Morgan was her obedient little brother who was naive and kind. How would those two do something like that?
No matter how she thought about it, Hayden was the only person she could think of.
However, after Lily said those words, Charlotte, Julia, and Anna all went wide-eyed with shock. If not Hayden… that would mean Morgan was the only other suspect!
Would Morgan really do something like that?
"Let's not talk about this first. You must never go look for Hayden, you hear me?" Charlotte said in a commanding tone.
