Hayden was concerned whether there would be any aspects of the video that wouldn't meet his expectations.
Finally, the final version of the video was completed. Hayden watched it several times and felt that it was satisfactory.
He then arranged for someone to reach out to major international influencers on short-video platforms to start the pre-release hype.
There seemed to be an unspoken rule in the short-video industry—as long as the payment was right, they would put in their best effort.
That evening, Christina approached Hayden again after work.
"Thank you so much for sending me home that night. I didn't do anything embarrassing, did I?" Christina pursed her lips and looked at Hayden with a bright smile, a hint of shyness in her eyes.
"No, you seemed pretty sober. If you want to drink, I can arrange something tonight!" Hayden joked, knowing full well that she wouldn't take him up on the offer.
"Not tonight. I have other plans," Christina replied.
"Alright then, let me know when you're free, and I'll set it up!" Hayden responded with a confident laugh. He wasn't short on money. In fact, he had too much of it.
"Can you do me a favor?" Christina murmured softly.
"What is it?" Hayden paused and looked at her curiously.
"When I got home yesterday, my family wasn't too happy about me drinking. But when I told them about you, and how you were admitted to Brighton University on recommendation, they became really interested in meeting you.
"I think they're quite curious about you, but I don't know if you'd be okay with..." Her voice grew softer and softer, until it was barely audible.
After all, he had let her drink too much the other night, so this seemed like a way to make amends.
"Really?" Christina's eyes widened in disbelief. She had been convinced that Hayden would refuse. She never thought he would actually agree.
"Alright then, I'll take you to my house tonight!" Christina immediately nodded, her face lighting up with a joyful smile.
"Hayden, you're not going home for dinner tonight?" Jenny stared at Hayden in shock when she realized he was going to Christina's house.
She couldn't believe it, feeling like she had suddenly lost something important.
"I'll drop you off at home first before heading out," Hayden explained.
