"My team has already reached out to you via phone. Some calls were answered, and others weren't. But for those who did pick up, they were informed.
"The fact that you didn't show up is clearly your own fault! You didn't actively participate, so why can't I invite other influencers?" Christina's tone was resolute. She showed no signs of backing down.
She couldn't believe how stubborn Lily was being. The baseless accusations were infuriating.
"I'll say it again. We never received any formal written notice. Is it still our fault we didn't show up? You're unbelievable! I've never met someone so unprofessional!
"And what if these influencers behind you failed to show up next time for some other reason? Will you replace them too? You clearly lack any sense of commitment.
"Honestly, it's baffling why the Public Affairs Department chose to work with someone like you. This is a huge red flag!"
Lily's strong sense of justice was clear in her commanding voice. She stayed calm but spoke with such intensity that it surprised Christina and the others.
The small influencers in the room exchanged uneasy glances. Many began to sense the complexity of the situation and grew increasingly wary.
As small influencers, they weren't used to dealing with such intense drama. The complications of the campaign made them uneasy. Anything could happen.
Getting involved might waste their time and energy, and the threat of legal trouble hangs over them. If things went wrong, they knew they would regret it.
Unable to withstand the tension, one influencer finally stepped forward.
"Ms. Christina, I think I'll leave now."
Soon after, others followed suit.
"I've got pressing matters at home to handle."
"I'm not playing you on purpose. We're simply here to seek justice!" Lily replied calmly, feigning righteousness.
"Fine. Now that you've gotten your 'justice,' can we start the meeting now?" Christina demanded.
"Of course!" Lily nodded. She didn't say more.
This unsettled some of the remaining influencers, who grew impatient.
"Can we please get straight to the point during the meeting? No more unnecessary talk!" one of them said.
"Exactly," another agreed. "And make sure we receive formal written communication next time, or we won't agree to anything!"
Someone else chimed in, "This 'justice' we got was our doing. It has nothing to do with you!"
