"Dad, Mom, this is the first time I've seen Hayden act so arrogant! You won't believe how disgusting he was! And now, he's even started his own company, and it's doing so well!" Lily exclaimed, her face full of disdain.
She couldn't help but feel frustrated seeing how successful Hayden's company had become.
Hearing this, the Sterlingslooked at one another in surprise. Hayden's sudden transformation had left them stunned.
"He's the one who decided to burn bridges, so he can't blame me for what's coming! He'll pay for this!" Francis growled, clenching his fists.
"But why has he succeeded yet again? He's created a studio, his videos are getting so much attention, and even the Public Affairs Department is reaching out to him. Shouldn't we start acknowledging his accomplishments?" Julia chimed in, sounding thoughtful.
"Accomplishments? Him? Julia, don't be fooled by what you see! You don't know the truth. Hayden's only getting attention because he's using Christina in his videos to attract people with her looks.
"Anyone else could do the same if they featured Christina! Add some money into the mix, and success is guaranteed. If he still couldn't pull it off, then he'd really be nothing but a failure!" Lily sneered. Her face was scrunched up in jealousy.
Her dismissive words made the Sterlings reflect for a moment.
It was true. If someone threw in such huge investments and still couldn't succeed, it would be downright embarrassing.
After all, seeing someone he once suppressed rise to prominence would be unbearable for him. Especially since Hayden was so young and already had a promising future ahead.
"Dad, maybe Hayden's been thinking about the Sterlings all along. Perhaps his hard work is all for the sake of building something to offer to the family. Deep down, he probably longs to come back," Morgan chimed in slyly. His sharp gaze was fixed on Francis.
Francis hesitated for a moment, his thoughts shifting. Then, a smug smile appeared on his face.
"You may be right! Maybe Hayden really is trying to prove himself to us. If that's the case, I'll consider letting him back into the family, on the condition that he hands over his company to us. That would be my act of mercy!"
