"Dad, are you sure you don't want me to ask? Aren't you afraid that she'll do something behind our backs?" Morgan asked in confusion.
"I'm pretty sure that Charlotte is behind whatever she has done. Some contracts require signatures before one can make the changes, and Charlotte's signature was on some of them. That bitch has betrayed me. She must be in cahoots with Julia," Francis guessed.
"Really?" Morgan was shocked. He couldn't help but tremble as he stared at Francis. Then, he asked cautiously, "Could it be that they already know?"
Francis' eyes suddenly widened, and his gaze turned cold. He wondered if they knew the truth. After all, it was possible for them to know about it. If they did, then it wouldn't be a surprise that they were acting this way.
"Hmph! It's even better if they know. They know the truth yet refuse to confront us. They're even secretly trying to change everything in Sterling Group. They're trying to catch us off guard so that it's not possible for us to recover. What an impressive scheme!" Francis laughed bitterly, and his eyes glinted viciously.
Morgan immediately approached Francis and whispered, "Dad, why don't we beat them at their own game?"
"Yes. We should do that so that they'll end up with nothing in the end. That was my plan all along. When the time comes, I'll make Charlotte leave. Then, you and your mom can move in. After that, we'll go to the capital and cut ties with them once and for all," Francis said in a deep voice.
"Didn't Mom say that we need to let Julia and Anna follow you? If they leave the Sterling family, Mom can't fulfill her plans. We might lose the chance to cooperate with the prominent families in the capital," Morgan quickly said, looking worried.
Francis couldn't help but frown and hesitate.
After all, Bianca still had some influence in the capital. The Walsh family had provided her with a lot of connections.
Back then, Bianca promised that if Julia and Anna were married off to two prominent families with good connections, there would be opportunities to secure more business collaborations. At that time, Francis could make an entrance at the capital.
"Do you have any suggestions?" Francis suddenly looked at Morgan and asked.
Morgan felt slightly touched at the sight of this. He wondered if Francis actually wanted to consider his opinions. He hurriedly thought and came up with an idea.
"Let's just pretend nothing happened. After Julia and Anna get married, we'll make Charlotte leave the Sterling family. In a way, we'll get what we want and won't have to worry about anything anymore."
Morgan was overjoyed. He even thought that his idea was brilliant.
With a sharp gaze, Francis said coldly, "I was thinking the same thing. Then, let's wait a bit longer. Hurry and ask your mom to contact someone in the capital. After Julia is married off, she won't be able to cause any trouble in the Sterling family."
