Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 365

It was precisely this thoughtful look that made Morgan unable to stop himself. He couldn't help but move closer to Lily. He could smell a faint fragrance on her, and the scent was intoxicating.

"Come on. Just get to the point!" Lily demanded impatiently.

"Alright. Then, I'll spill the beans."

Morgan smiled wickedly.

"Since the three of you are old enough, it's time to talk about marriage. Dad wants to find a husband for Julia and Anna from the wealthy families in the capital. But do you know why he's decided not to find one for you?" Morgan asked meaningfully.

"Why is that?"

Lily was slightly stunned as she stared at Morgan in surprise. Although she had guessed the answer, she still found it hard to believe.

"That's because I told Dad not to arrange a marriage for you and let you have your freedom. It was because of my words that Dad was touched, so he decided to find a husband for only Julia and Anna."

Morgan quickly found an excuse to tell Lily. He was confident that she wouldn't go and confirm his story with Francis.

"Is that true?"

Lily was surprised as she scrutinized Morgan. She found it unbelievable that Morgan could change Francis' mind on a serious matter like this. Even if Francis cared about Morgan very much, the latter couldn't possibly have the final say in her marriage.

Lily was suspicious of Morgan, but she didn't have any proof. The most important thing was she didn't need to marry the scion in the capital. It was a good thing.

At the thought of this, he wanted to reject the idea. However, something suddenly crossed his mind. He couldn't help but smirk, looking slightly excited.

"I finally managed to convince Dad to stop treating you like a pawn, but you want me to talk to him again? He's definitely going to be mad. You didn't even reward me for what I did earlier, so I certainly don't want to do it now."

Morgan pouted slightly and looked quite aggrieved. Tears were welling up in his eyes.

At this moment, Lily panicked. She hurriedly comforted him, "Don't be mad. It's my fault for not considering your feelings."

Morgan immediately rushed into Lily's embrace and began to cry uncontrollably. He even hugged her tightly and refused to let go.

"Morgan… I can't breathe…" Lily whispered, her face contorted in pain.
