Reborn I Refuse To Save The Traitors (Margaery) novel Chapter 108

**Whispers Shape Distant Tomorrows by Aren Cole Vale**
**Chapter 108: Send Her To Heaven**

Tessa realized that she needed to carve out a path for her own future. It was a daunting task, yet one she had to undertake.

Her legs quaked beneath her as she knelt before Callum, the weight of the moment pressing heavily on her. “Your Highness,” she began, her voice trembling slightly, “are you suggesting that Prince Dashnell could ruin Margaery’s wedding?”

He regarded her with a measured gaze, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly in thought. “That is indeed a possibility,” he replied, though uncertainty lingered in his tone.

Callum’s mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. “For now, let us observe how the situation unfolds. The Hadley family is not our primary concern, which is precisely why I have directed you toward the Wallen family.”

His eyes returned to Tessa, sharp and penetrating. “The item I require you to procure is of utmost significance.”

Tessa took a moment to gather her thoughts, her heart racing with anticipation. “Your Highness, you are correct. I will assist you in obtaining the item, and then I shall wait patiently for your favor at the Chancellor’s estate.”

As she lowered her head, her eyes narrowed in determination. If she could manage to enter Callum’s harem, there would be no need for her to concern herself with the Hadley family any longer.

Yet, the prospect of vying for favor in the future loomed ominously in her mind.

Dominic, consumed by his infatuation with Margaery, left Tessa feeling suffocated and powerless. She felt trapped within her own thoughts, unable to act.

Callum reached out, grasping her arm to lift her from the ground. He pinched her cheeks playfully, his voice softening. “Not only must you help me secure that item, but there is one more task I require of you.”

“Please, instruct me, Your Highness,” Tessa replied, her tone sweet and eager.

Callum’s expression shifted, his eyes narrowing as he continued with a gentler tone. “Aren’t you from the countryside? I want you to go and tell your family that you wish to study and learn to read, hoping that your father and brothers will teach you personally.”

“I need you to master the handwriting of Lord Chancellor and Lord Joshua. The day you achieve that will be the moment you can leave the Chancellor’s estate.” A smirk played on Callum’s lips as he let out a cold chuckle.

Tessa’s brow furrowed in confusion. “Your Highness, may I ask why it is necessary for me to learn these skills? Over the past year, I have been taught to read and write, and I am quite proficient.”

“No,” Callum interjected sharply, his gaze fierce. “I want your handwriting to match theirs exactly!”

With an imposing presence, he added a warning, “Do not question my orders. This is for your own benefit.”

The intensity in his eyes made Tessa avert her gaze, and she nodded obediently. “I will do my utmost, but please remember your promise to me, Your Highness.”

“Complete these two tasks successfully, and you will be my most valued ally!” Callum declared, raising his chin with confidence. “When I ascend to the throne, you may not become queen, but a noble consort is a significant title. Remember my words.”

A surge of joy filled Tessa’s heart. “I thank you in advance, Your Highness!”

Becoming a noble consort would undoubtedly elevate her above the lady of the Hadley family.

As she exited the Springcourt House, her heart raced with excitement. It no longer mattered if Margaery wed Dominic; when Callum became king, both the Wallen family and the Hadley family would face ruin.

She couldn’t wait to witness how deeply in love Dominic and Margaery would remain when that day arrived.

“Dominic, you are heartless, so don’t blame me for being unjust!” Tessa shot a glance toward the Hadley family’s direction. “I once believed that after marrying me, I could guide the Hadley family to ally with Prince Callum and safeguard our wealth and honor.”

“But now…” Her eyes narrowed with determination as she ducked into an alleyway, making her way toward the back gate of the Chancellor’s estate.

The winter days were fleeting, the sun setting earlier than usual. As the shadows grew long, Dashnell prepared to take his leave. “Margaery, I shall await you at tomorrow’s birthday banquet,” he said, warmth radiating from his words, mingled with a hint of anticipation.

Margaery felt a flutter of warmth inside her, a spark of hope igniting. “Alright,” she replied, a smile gracing her lips.
