Reborn I Refuse To Save The Traitors (Margaery) novel Chapter 71

**Chapter 71: It Hurts So Much**

Margaery’s heart felt as though it was being violently torn apart, each beat echoing her disbelief. She stood frozen, her mind racing as she shook her head in denial. The world around her blurred, and in a moment of sheer panic, she turned and fled, her feet pounding against the ground in a desperate bid for escape.

In an instant, Joshua’s strong hand gripped her arm, yanking her back with a force that left her breathless. His expression was grim, a storm brewing in his eyes. “Margaery, this is our only chance to save Tessa. Are you really going to turn your back on her?” His voice was low and filled with urgency.

“Why isn’t it you?” she shouted, her voice cracking under the weight of her emotions. “If you care so much about saving her, then you do it! Why should I be the one to suffer? I owe her nothing! She’s just a fraud!” The words tumbled out, each one laced with anger and confusion.

“Joshua, I’m not…” Tessa’s voice broke through the tension, her sobs punctuating her words. “I really am Mom and Dad’s real daughter. I don’t understand why Margaery would treat me this way…” Her eyes were wide with fear and desperation, searching for understanding in the chaos.

The kidnapper, lurking in the shadows, wore a sinister grin that sent chills down Margaery’s spine. “Joshua, if you slice out her tongue, she won’t be able to talk back anymore,” he taunted, his voice dripping with malice.

Joshua’s eyes narrowed, his determination hardening into a steely resolve.

The kidnapper escalated the threat, pressing the knife ominously against Tessa’s mouth. “Make your choice, Joshua. Either you cut out Margaery’s tongue, or I will cut out Tessa’s.” His voice was a chilling whisper, the air thick with tension.

“Make your choice,” he repeated, his tone mocking.

Tessa’s terror erupted into a piercing scream that echoed through the night, a sound filled with pure anguish.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Joshua’s grip tightened around Margaery’s jaw as he dislocated it with a brutal twist. The knife glinted in the dim light, and in the next heartbeat, blood splattered across the ground, a vivid reminder of the horror unfolding.

Margaery felt a sharp, searing pain radiate through her body as her tongue hit the ground, the dagger in Joshua’s hand oozing crimson. He didn’t spare her a glance; his focus was solely on the kidnapper. “Let Tessa go,” he demanded, his voice a low growl.

The kidnapper chuckled darkly, relishing the chaos. “Lord Joshua, don’t rush. The game has only just begun.” His eyes sparkled with twisted glee as he turned to Avery. “Poison her. I want to see her break out in hives, to writhe in agony, desperate to scream but unable to make a sound!” His eyes gleamed with wild insanity, a predator reveling in the hunt.

With Margaery’s jaw forced open, Avery poured the poison down her throat, his gaze cold and devoid of empathy. “Margaery, if you want to blame someone, blame yourself for dragging Tessa into this mess. This is what you deserve.” His words were like daggers, cutting deeper than any physical pain.

The poison ignited her allergies, sending her body into a frenzy of torment. Margaery writhed on the ground, the unbearable itching consuming her sanity, clawing at her skin until it was slick with blood. But Raul, unmoved, kept his eyes locked on the kidnapper. “Now, will you let Tessa go?” he demanded, his voice steady despite the chaos.

The kidnapper laughed again, a sound filled with delight. “Lord Chancellor, I find those without arms or legs particularly fascinating. If you can manage that for me, I’ll let Tessa go.”

Raul’s frown deepened as he glanced at Andrew, who stood nearby, sword in hand.

Andrew raised his weapon high, and with a swift, merciless motion, he severed Margaery’s arms and legs. Blood sprayed across his face, yet his youthful features remained hard, marred only by disgust for her. He barely acknowledged her suffering before turning back to the kidnapper. “Is this what you wanted?” he asked, his voice devoid of emotion.

Blood pooled around Margaery, the pain overwhelming, drowning out all rational thought. She lay helplessly on the ground, her body unresponsive, tears of blood streaming down her cheeks as she gazed at her family.

There was her father, who had once vowed to cherish her forever. Joshua, who had become an Imperial General with the help of her sword manual. Avery, who had risen to power through her medical recipes. Russell, who had once begged for a charm just for her. Clyde, who had sworn to protect her for life. And Andrew, who had promised to conquer the world with her by his side.

But now, all she could see in their eyes was nothing but disgust. For Tessa, they had done this to her.

Blood flowed from her eyes like tears, each drop a testament to her suffering.

The pain seared through her very soul, leaving no room for love or compassion. All that remained in their hearts was Tessa.

Clyde glared at the kidnapper, desperation lacing his voice. “Is this enough for you? Let my sister go already!”

Once, Margaery had been their sister too.

The kidnapper’s laughter was manic, echoing in the stillness. “No wonder you’re the sons of the Chancellor’s estate—each of you is ruthless to the core. You don’t even hesitate! Watching you all is just thrilling!”

With a sudden shout, he hurled Tessa toward them.

Out of nowhere, a cold arrow whistled through the air, aimed directly at Tessa.

Clyde’s eyes widened in horror. He kicked Margaery aside and instinctively stepped in front of Tessa, his body a shield against the impending doom.
