"Alright, fine," Qin Wenhao said, his tone less than enthusiastic.
Mrs. Fu could tell, and the corner of her mouth twitched again.
’Thank goodness I had a daughter.’
’And thank goodness he’s my son-in-law.’
After lunch, Mrs. Fu hurried Qin Wenhao off to deliver the meat to the Qin family.
’Even though my daughter isn’t here, we still have to observe the proper etiquette.’
Therefore, just the meat wasn’t enough; they needed to buy other things as well.
But the other items could be bought in a few days for Qin Wenhao to deliver then.
Qin Wenhao arrived at the Qin Family Mansion carrying a fertilizer sack with ten pounds of pork and a pig’s trotter.
Mrs. Qin was rather surprised. "What do you have in there?"
"The meat and pig’s trotter my mother-in-law sent."
Qin Wenhao set the fertilizer sack down.
Mrs. Qin was very surprised to hear this. "Why are you bringing us meat? We have plenty. Hurry up and take it back."
"That’s what I said, but my mother-in-law wouldn’t have it. She insisted I bring it. She’s just that kind. Should I put this in the kitchen for you?"
Hearing this, Mrs. Qin knew she had no choice but to accept the meat.
"Then hurry up and put it in the kitchen."
’With all this meat, I basically won’t need to buy any more myself.’
Qin Wenhao took the meat out of the fertilizer sack and carried it to the kitchen.
Mrs. Qin saw that it was a great deal of meat.
"This is way too much. Why don’t you take the pig’s trotter back?"
Meat was usually hard to come by during the New Year.
"No need. If I take it back, my mother-in-law will probably just make me bring it over again. If you think it’s too much, you could always make some sausages for us."
Mrs. Qin rolled her eyes. "I don’t know how."
Qin Wenhao said, "I know you don’t. I’m not asking you to make them. What I mean is, Aunt Li knows how, doesn’t she?"
Mrs. Qin: ...?
’You know what? Don’t even leave this meat here.’
