Reborn Omega Avenge Herself Like an Alpha (Aubrey Mary) novel Chapter 485

**The CEO Who Promised Me the World And Then Asked Me to Pay With My Soul by Caden Blake**

**Chapter 485: The Terminator of Misfortune**

In the midst of a bustling crowd, Alpha Henry’s voice rang out, laced with a playful charm. “How should I not be?” he asked, a warm smile gracing his lips. “Aside from the day I was born, I am just like you. Anything that others can achieve, I can too! You may think I’m lowering myself, but for the sake of your smile, I would gladly wear the mask of a clown for eternity!”

Aubrey stood frozen, her heart racing in a flurry of emotions. The words hung in the air, and she felt a flutter of panic rise within her. She had hoped to hear something more profound, something that reflected the gravity of what had transpired earlier that day.

But deep down, she recognized the truth in Alpha Henry’s words. How could someone like him—a top-tier Alpha, revered and admired by all—ever consider playing the fool? It seemed utterly out of character, a stark contradiction to the image he had cultivated.

Noticing her bewilderment, Alpha Henry’s smile broadened, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

“There’s no hierarchy when it comes to people, nor should there be in matters of the heart,” he declared, his voice imbued with sincerity.

He gently took Aubrey’s hand in his, his purple eyes shining with an intensity that made her heart skip a beat.

“Did you enjoy my little performance? Lucky lady, remember my name—The Terminator of Misfortune! With my presence, all your bad luck is banished!”

Aubrey couldn’t help but chuckle at his playful bravado, but before she could respond, a small voice piped up nearby.

“Then… Mr. Terminator of Misfortune, can you perform another magic trick?” A little boy had approached, his tiny fingers tugging at Alpha Henry’s pant leg, his eyes wide with excitement.

With a gentle smile, Alpha Henry knelt down, ruffling the boy’s bandaged head. “Of course! What’s your favorite animal, young man?”

The boy beamed, his face lighting up. “I like cats the most!”

“Then for my final act, I shall perform a balloon magic trick!” Alpha Henry announced, his enthusiasm infectious.

He deftly inflated several long balloons, his fingers twisting and turning them with expert precision until a lifelike balloon cat emerged.

Surrounding them were countless reporters, their cameras poised, capturing every moment. Above them, drones hovered, broadcasting live to the world. In that instant, it became clear: Alpha Henry was once again proposing, and the entire world was about to witness it.

“Aubrey,” he began, his voice steady yet filled with emotion, “do you know what has occupied my thoughts the most since I fell in love with you?”

She could hardly breathe, her heart racing as she listened intently.

“I often think about how wonderful it would be if you still loved me as you once did—clinging to me, focused solely on us. I adore you, every facet of who you are, but there’s a part of me that yearns for the warmth of your smile, the one I haven’t seen in far too long. I dream of the day I can witness it again.”

“But the old me was useless,” Aubrey interjected, her voice firm as she looked directly into his eyes.

“The old me was like a shameless, sticky candy! I was not beautiful, nor could I be cold and sharp! I was laughably foolish! And you never liked her. You hated her!”

As she spoke, her heart ached with the weight of her past, but in that moment, she also felt the flicker of hope that perhaps, just perhaps, things could be different now.
