Reborn Rich: Prices Dropped, My Savings Didn't novel Chapter 88

Chapter 88: Chapter 86: A Win-Win Agreement

A new contract would need to be drafted based on the new clauses Cecilia Sterling had proposed, and these matters were left entirely in Connie’s hands.

Cecilia Sterling’s purpose for this trip was to help her sister with the contract negotiations, and now, her mission was successfully accomplished.

"Sis, are you really leaving? You’re not even staying for a day?"

Learning that her sister planned to leave that very day, Lily Sterling was very reluctant to see her go.

Cecilia Sterling pinched her sister’s cheek. "What would I do staying here? You need to focus on your work. I’ll just be a distraction if I’m here."

Lily Sterling knew she had many scenes over the next few days, with night shoots almost every day. Even if her sister stayed, she wouldn’t have time to spend with her. With that, she could only nod. "Alright then. Are you going back to Lorcain?"

"Yeah, I’m looking forward to a few rare days of peace and quiet by myself. I plan to just laze around at home," Cecilia Sterling said, half-joking.

Lily Sterling smiled. "That’s good too. The gift I bought you is on the bed in your room. Try it on when you get back."

The two sisters shared a reluctant hug, which brought contented smiles to the faces of the few people watching from the side.

Connie then turned to Finn and Yuna and instructed them, "You two will stay with Lily for now. After this show is finished filming, if Lily is willing to keep you, you’ll be her assistants from now on. Make sure you do a good job."

At her words, their eyes lit up, and they both nodded excitedly.

Every artist’s assistant dreams of working for someone with a good personality, and Lily was a literal angel—as kind as she was beautiful.

Connie then turned to Cecilia Sterling with an invitation. "Miss Sterling, are you heading to the airport? You’re welcome to take my car!"

"Sure, thank you, Connie."

The floor manager came over again to hurry Lily Sterling back to the set, leaving her no time to even see them off.

Cecilia Sterling left the film set with Connie and Lawyer Lynn. Halfway out, she was spotted by Gideon Hale, who was in full makeup and hair and also on his way to prepare for a scene.

Her face, radiant in the sunlight, allowed Gideon Hale to recognize Cecilia Sterling instantly.

His gaze locked onto her, and just as he saw Cecilia’s group about to turn a corner and leave, he couldn’t help but call out, "Connie!"

He didn’t know Cecilia Sterling’s name, so he could only call out to Connie.

The group stopped at the sound of his voice and looked back, only to see Gideon Hale approaching in full period costume, making quite a scene with his four-person entourage.

Connie greeted him with a smile. "Gideon!"

"Connie, what brings you to our set? You don’t have any of your people in this show, do you?" Gideon Hale deliberately avoided looking at Cecilia Sterling, seemingly waiting for her to recognize him and say hello first.

But Cecilia Sterling simply regarded him with a calm gaze, her eyes holding not a trace of warmth, as if she were looking at a complete stranger.

So, after making some perfunctory small talk with Connie, he had no choice but to pretend to glance at Cecilia Sterling casually, then feign surprise. "Huh? It’s you?"

Cecilia Sterling’s brow furrowed in confusion. ’Huh?’

Seeing her put on that "I don’t know you" expression again, Gideon Hale’s heart sank, but he still braced himself and prompted her, "Me, you don’t remember?"

Of course Cecilia remembered. She didn’t have amnesia; she was doing it on purpose.

Her eyes narrowed as she sized him up for a few seconds before a look of sudden realization dawned on her face. "Oh... ’Brooch Guy’!"
