Chapter 163
“Grandpa! Grandpa!”
Xanthe ran out of the house.
“That troublesome person has been caught. Can we go after that girl named Aurora now?”
Maddox patted her head. “Did you take your medicine?”
Xanthe nodded.
She had been diagnosed with uremia three years earlier. Her kidneys were severely damaged and could no longer function properly. She could now only rely on medication and dialysis twice a week to stay alive.
But dialysis only involved drawing her blood, filtering it through a machine, and returning it to her. It couldn’t cure her kidney failure. Uremia could trigger a series of complications; she could die at any time.
Last year alone she had been on the operating table four times. Once, she had almost during one of those operations.
She never wanted to go through that kind of pain again. She wanted to be healthy–no medication, no dialysis, with functioning kidneys.
Thinking that she might soon get a new lease on life, Xanthe felt like she could fly.
Maddox saw her excitement. “Xanthe, I know you’re thrilled. Grandpa feels the same. The longer we wait, the more things can go wrong, so we must catch that girl as soon as possible.”
Maddox’s sharp gaze turned to Jagger. “Bring the girl–Aurora–here at once.”
Jagger replied, “Yes.”
The Taylor Villa.
Hayden paced anxiously around the house.
“Still no news?” he asked.
His subordinate shook his head.
It had had been twenty–four hours since Bianca and Gabriel had gone missing.
Chapter 163
No word had come from the school either.
Olivia covered her face and sobbed, “Please let nothing happen to Bianca and Gabriel…”
Just then, Yves hurried in.
“Mr. Hayden Taylor! Mrs. Taylor! Mr. Chase Taylor is back!”
Hayden and Olivia looked up immediately.
Chase had been abroad on business when he received the news and returned immediately.
He strode in, his eyes sweeping the room. Hayden, Olivia, and Tobias all wore worried expressions.
Chase turned and asked, “Dad, what happened exactly? How did Gabriel and Bianca go missing?”
“On Friday after school, the driver who went to pick up Gabriel and Bianca lost contact and never returned. That’s when I knew something was wrong,” Olivia said with red–rimmed eyes. “I called the police and sent bodyguards to the school to look for them, but the school said Gabriel and Bianca weren’t there…”
“There’s still no news. It’s been twenty–four hours.”
“Did you report it to the police?” Chase asked.
“I’ve already told Timothy King,” Hayden sighed. “He’s already investigating with his team, but there’s no news yet.”
The Timothy Hayden mentioned was a friend of his who worked at the local police station.
Having someone you knew handling things made it more convenient.
Chase nodded and asked again, “Where’s Isabella? Hasn’t she come home?”
Hayden shook his head. “She doesn’t know yet that Bianca and Gabriel are missing.”
“Dad, Mom, don’t worry too much,” Chase said, trying to stay calm. “The Taylor Family has never had grudges with anyone. Nothing like this should happen.”
His expression darkened. “I’m going to the school.”
“It happened on the way home from school. If Gabriel and Bianca had a conflict with someone at school, Isabella might know something.”
Before leaving, Chase glanced at Tobias. “Tobias, take care of Mom and Dad. I’ll be back soon.”
“Tobias nodded. “Go ahead. I’ll stay home with Mom and Dad.”

Chapter 163
When Chase arrived at Class 11, the students were in the middle of a math test.

Chase stood in the hallway and immediately spotted Isabella sitting in the back row.
The math teacher who was preparing lessons at the podium saw someone outside the window, stood up and went out. “Who are you looking for?”
“I’m looking for Isabella. I’m her brother,” Chase said.
The teacher nodded without saying anything, returned to the classroom, walked to Isabella–who was focused on her test paper–and gently tapped her desk. “Isabella, your brother is here to see you.”
Isabella looked out the window.
It was Chase.
Isabella put down her pen. As she stepped out, she heard Chase asked quietly, “Gabriel and Bianca have lost contact. Do you know where they went?”
Isabella froze.
Gabriel and Bianca were missing?
She came to her senses and shook her head. “I don’t know.”
Seeing her denial, Chase frowned. “How can you not know?”
Isabella looked indifferent. “I’m not glued to Gabriel and Bianca. How would I know where they went? If that’s all you came for, you have your answer. I need to go back and finish my test. Goodbye.”
She walked around him to go back to the classroom. Chase moved to the side, blocking her way.
His eyes flashed with displeasure; his tone questioning. “Gabriel is your fourth brother! He’s missing, and this is your attitude?*
“Fourth brother?” Isabella laughed as if he’d made a joke, curling her lips into a mocking smile. “Didn’t you all agree not to recognize me as your sister? Why are you now calling him my fourth brother?”
Chase was taken aback by her retort.
He couldn’t help but reply, “Gabriel and Bianca have been missing for twenty–four hours. You’re at school too. If you know anything, tell
me.”
“I told you, I don’t know anything,” Isabella said coldly.

Chapter 163
Although she attended the same school, the regular program and the international section had little overlap; how would she know about Gabriel and Bianca’s affairs?
Isabella turned to leave.
Chase watched her back, his face darkened. “Even if Gabriel died, you wouldn’t care at all, would you?”
“Yes.” Isabella’s voice was incredibly indifferent.
Chase exploded. “What kind of sister wouldn’t care when her brother is missing? What do we brothers mean to you?”
Isabella kept her back to him. Hearing his angry voice, she could picture his dark expression.
She paused for a moment and answered calmly, “Nothing.”
Chase fell silent.
Seeing Isabella return, Violet leaned over and whispered, “Was that your oldest brother outside?”
“That’s Chase,” Isabella said. “To be precise, he’s Bianca’s eldest brother.”
“What did he want? He looked really upset.”
“Gabriel and Bianca are missing. He came to ask me where they might be.”
“What? They’re missing?”
