Chapter 490: Chapter 490: Don’t Touch My Sister

Grace Sutton was taken aback by Caleb Summers’s words. ’What does this have to do with my son, Ian Summers?’

Grace Sutton was too stunned to react immediately. Seeing her silence, Caleb Summers assumed he’d guessed right. ’I knew it! My brother and his wife are up to no good! They’re using the fact that Ian Summers was raised by Grandma to try and swallow all three properties for themselves!’

’They’re outrageously greedy!’

Caleb Summers seethed with resentment. He glared at Grace Sutton and said through gritted teeth, "Sister-in-law, don’t mind my harsh words, but your son Ian has been away in the army for years. In times like these, it’s not even certain he’ll come back alive! You and your husband shouldn’t be so blatant with your scheming. Be careful your son Ian doesn’t have the fortune to enjoy it. He might have the life to get the money, but not the life to spend it!"

Grace Sutton understood those words perfectly. A furious rage ignited within her, shooting straight to her head. ’That bastard! How dare he curse my son!’

Ian Summers was Grace Sutton’s only child. Caleb Summers’s words were tantamount to dancing on a landmine.

Without another word, Grace Sutton rolled up her sleeves and started swinging, landing heavy punches on Caleb Summers’s face. "You son of a bitch!" she roared as she hit him. "You dare curse my son?! I’ll kill you!"

Caught off guard, Caleb Summers took two hard punches to the face, and his nose immediately started bleeding.

He was a scholar who worked in an office and was no match for Grace Sutton, who’d spent years doing manual labor in a factory. He was completely unable to fight back, only able to cover his head, dodge, and howl in pain.

Seeing her husband being beaten one-sidedly, Zoe Kane was frantic. But Grace Sutton was a head taller and much stronger, so she didn’t dare step in to help. All she could do was cast a pleading look at her mother-in-law, hoping she would stop them.

But Grandma just stood by with her arms crossed, watching coldly. She had no intention of breaking up the fight. After the vile things Caleb Summers had just said, it wouldn’t be going too far even if Grace Sutton beat him to death!

Just then, however, Howard Fletcher suddenly charged at Grace Sutton with his fists swinging, shouting, "You bitch! How dare you hit my dad! I’m going to kill you!"

With lightning-fast reflexes, before Howard Fletcher could even get close to Grace Sutton, Melody Summers sent him flying with another kick!

With a dull THUD, Howard Fletcher’s head slammed hard against the coffee table as he fell.

Zoe Kane was scared out of her wits when she saw this. She cried out and threw herself over Howard Fletcher, her face filled with concern. "Leo! Leo! Are you okay?!"

Seeing Howard Fletcher was completely dazed from the fall, Zoe Kane lifted her head and glared at Melody Summers with pure hatred, her voice cracking as she demanded, "How could you kick him! Leo is just a child! How could you be so cruel!"

Melody Summers just chuckled at her words. "You call that cruel? If it weren’t for the fact that he’s a child, I might have just sent him to reunite with his mother!"

Howard Fletcher already had a terrible temper. How could he possibly tolerate what Melody Summers just said?

He roared in fury, shoved Zoe Kane off him, and pulled a paring knife from his pocket, lunging straight for Melody Summers—

"Bitch! If you won’t give me the house, then you can just die!"

At that moment, Howard Fletcher’s eyes held a murderous intent that belied his age. ’As long as I kill this woman in front of me,’ he thought, ’the house will be mine!’

’I’m not even twelve yet. The internet says it doesn’t matter if you kill someone at my age!’
