Reclaimed By My Alpha (Natalia and Andrei) novel Chapter 521

Natalia’s POV

Andrei’s wolf slammed into Isaac with a resounding crash.

The knife flew from Isaac’s hand and skittered across the floor. Isaac hit the wall hard enough to crack the wood. He slumped for half a second before scrambling to his feet.

“Andrei!” I screamed, wriggling against my bonds. My body was beginning to fail me. Whatever was in the knife had begun to paralyze my muscles, slowly turning them thick and stupid. “Andrei, help! I can’t… move!”

If he heard me, he didn’t indicate it. He just whirled on Isaac, fangs bared, saliva dripping. Isaac lunged for the knife, but I kicked it away with what remained of my strength. It was just enough to send it skittering out into the hallway.

With a primal yell, Isaac grabbed a chair and swung it at Andrei’s head. The wood shattered on impact, but Andrei barely flinched. He lunged again, claws raking across Isaac’s chest. Blood sprayed across the wall.

Isaac stumbled backward, clutching his chest. His hand came away red. “You bastard—”

Andrei didn’t let him finish. He pounced, jaws snapping. Isaac barely rolled out of the way in time. He kicked Andrei in the ribs, and I heard bone crack.

Andrei yelped but didn’t slow down. Just turned and attacked again.

I looked up at my wrists, trying desperately to pull them free from the ropes. My arms were heavy now, dead weight up to the elbows, but I grit my teeth and pulled harder. The fibers cut deeper into my skin. Blood ran down my arms, making my hands slick, but even then, the knots wouldn’t budge.

When I looked over again, I saw that Isaac had shifted. A small, lithe gray wolf stood where he once had. He and Andrei circled each other for a moment. A feral fight was about to ensue, and I was right in the middle of it with neither of them seeming to notice me anymore. I had to get away. I rolled onto my belly and tried to wriggle toward the door. Inch by inch.

But my legs stopped functioning before I could push myself the rest of the way.

Then Isaac struck. He went low, aiming for Andrei’s legs. Andrei jumped, twisted in midair, and came down on Isaac’s back. His jaws clamped around Isaac’s neck. More blood, this time hot and wet across my face.

This wasn’t happening. This couldn’t be real.

“An…drei…” I rasped. My voice came out hoarse and raw as my vocal chords stopped working.

Slowly, like a marionette on strings, Andrei turned to look at me. His yellow eyes met mine, and for just a second, I saw recognition, pain, and maybe even a twinge of regret. But it was quickly clouded by hunger and hatred and murder.

Then, he grabbed Isaac’s body by the throat with his jaws. He didn’t look at me again before he leapt through the window, shattering both the frame and the glass, and disappeared into the night with Isaac’s body still held firmly.

And then I was alone. Tied up, paralyzed, and helpless.

I tried to scream. I tried to pull at the ropes. But it was no use. My muscles wouldn’t respond. My throat wouldn’t even make sound. I could hardly even breathe. I felt trapped, alone, pinned to the floor like a bad dream.
