“Mr. Seven?” Xenia’s voice immediately buzzed with excitement. “I know him! He got his start in Astara’s black market and is now one of the most invisible capital tycoons in the global business world. Many of the new, rising companies in Northborough over the past few years have been backed by him. I heard he has a passion for creating and nurturing new titans of the business world, which probably has something to do with his own past!”
“That’s right. He’s a very mysterious person. He holds shares in several of my companies as well.”
Xenia gasped. “Briony, you’re amazing! So unassuming! You actually know a world-class magnate like Mr. Seven?!”
“To be honest, I don’t know him that well. He’s all business, and profit is his top priority. Our partnership came about because he happened to take a liking to my artwork. I guess I was just lucky.”
Xenia pressed on eagerly, “So, have you met him in person?”
Briony pursed her lips. “I’ve only seen him once.”
“How old is he? Is he handsome?”
Briony frowned. “Fifty-something, I think? A bit bald, looks-wise he's pretty average, but he seems very approachable.”
Xenia said, “…Ah. So much for that fantasy.”
Briony chuckled. “Actually, when I first met Mr. Seven, I was quite surprised myself.”
“So, the reason Mr. Seven refuses to appear in public is because he’s not much to look at?”
